San Luis. Harbor House. Hotel Galvez.

All of those are nice, but very different from each other. I suggest looking at each's website and seeing which suits you.

San Luis was damaged in Ike, but I think they are fine now. In fact, I had some friends go to San Luis just this past month and they had a blast in Galveston. Is there any problem with you staying at the Moody Gardens Hotel?

Moody Gardens is a really good hotel, probably the best on the Island. It's a bit pricey, but if you are fine with the costs.. then you should stay there. It's actually an easy access to all the stuff you are trying to see over there like the 3 pyramids, i-max.. etc.

San Luis would be my second recommendation behind Moody Gardens.
