are 4 players who aren't playing up to their contracts. Bobby Jackson, Bibby, Brad Miller, Divac are playing up to their contracts. That's the difference between championship teams and mediocre garbage teams. It's plain and simple. That's why I'm in favor of burning down the roster with an emphasis on cap management.

If the Rockets go nowhere this year, that is what will happen. It will be time to rebuild around Yao.
That was before I realized that Brad Miller makes the same salary as Maurice, and Bobby Jackson makes less than Moochie. Bibby actually makes less than Steve too. Divac makes $12 million this year which is arguably too much, but he keeps that team together. Cato is making $6 million is a pure defensive center with almost no offensive skills aside from an occassional dunk. I like Mobley. He's the most offensively efficient player on the team along with Yao. Mobley makes $6 mill. Yao makes $4 mill. I'm not saying this is the Miami Heat with garbage contracts galore, but the Rockets have their issues with the payroll.
