Moochie has become a liability for the Rockets. The weak link. Wilks although not a great shooter can run the offense better IMHO than Moochie. I've been trying to be patient with Moochie considering the money he earns and how hard he tries to play.

Its time to play Wilks as the backup point guard.

Moochie good luck being the guy on the end of the bench.

i don't know how good wilks is but it's hard to imagine him being worse than mooch.

the sad part is mooch is inshape and appears to be working hard. i think the new defensive rules really took away the effectiveness he once had.

I think the last time Mooch had a good game was that triple over- time win over the Pacers a couple years back.

I don't care if he did came back in better shape this year I still see absolutely no improvement over last year. I say start the hungry, younger, more talented player. It only makes sense Jeff.

I say it's time to take one for the team Moochie.

So is JVG giving Mooch the PT for another reason then or is Wilks just not as good as some might think? I do agree he can't be any worse.

Moochie is being showcased. May be true, but how can anyone showcase Mooch? Salary cap fodder, Bobcat fodder, or please, sit fodder down the bench.

I think we should just sign Mark Jackson and cut Wilks.

But then we might as well cut Mooch too, because with his play so far and his contract, he won't get off the bench and no one will take him in a trade.

So I sugest we cut Mooch and keep Wilks, then sign Mark Jackson, maybe even Rod Strickland.

mooch just have to get used to his weight...
He will be good when he gets his confidence back, like how boki is playing now.. and cato.
but I do agree he has been looking really bad. It had to be about confidence, there is no way an NBA pg can play that badly sometimes.. makes those ridiculous to..
so if we play wilks more now, it will only hurt mooch more.
    Play mooch.

Play Wilks he will have somthin to prove, he will play with a passion diff than mooch has. Sure he is trying to improve or watever but the fact is, the guy has a fat garanteed contract and he dosn't have to worry about ****. Wilks on the other hand has to be shacking in his shoes and will go out there to prove somthin to every1, that he belongs in the NBA. For that fact i say play Wilks over the Mooch.

I'm guessing maybe Wilks can't play D. That's just a guess, based on absolutely nothing other than me thinking JVG hasta have a reason for going with Mooch. JVG is defense & team first, so my first guess is Wilks needs to work on his D. Or maybe JVG is rewarding Moochie for his effort & attitude?

I'm glad Moochies worked on his game this summer.
He's lost weight, has a good team attitude, blah blah blah.

    Bottom line....

I've been very patient with Moochie, as well as Steve and Cuttino.

I'm losing my patience with Moochie, and of what I have seen of Wilks, he should and needs to get Moochie's spot in the rotation.
Wilks seems like he can handle the rock, not a great shooter but neither is Moochie.

Besides, Moochie is our number one cheerleader. Lets keep it that way.

Great point, Wilks wants to prove that he belongs. Moochie obviously IMHO does not belong. I think I'd rather have Scottie Brooks than Moochie.

Wilks can dish out the ball better than Mooch, I can't wait til Mooch's contract is done or traded with. The guy dribbles way too much ala SF, but can't shoot crap to save his ass, he turns the rock over everytime, he's got butterfingers I don't know. I can't stand Mooch's attitude either, kinda reminds me of Sanford and Son always fakin a cardiac arrest with that pouty face. Mooch is tryin soo hard b/c he knows his days are numbered. We need an experienced backup PG that can produce as well as control the flow of the game like kevin ollie or claxton would be nice. IMO, both our backup PG are physically too small, tim hardaway where are you!?? he would be perfect backup to steve, then u can put tim at pg and steve at the 2, deadly combo.

As I said earlier, we should sign Carlos Arroyal from Jazz or get him in a trade. I sensed something between Jazz and Rockets is cooking. Too bad we did not get him. Look at his stats right now, moreover, he is running the Jazz offense as the coach instructed.
