    Rockets Re-Sign Moochie Norris
Oct. 9 - The Rockets have re-signed popular backup
point guard Moochie Norris to a free agent contract, Rockets GM Carroll Dawson announced today. Norris appeared in all 82 games for the Rockets last season, averaging 6.6 points and 3.5 assists. Rockets fans will notice Moochie wearing a different number this season, as he has switched to jersey No.7.

Hang on, could this be a #3 Steve, #5 Cuttino, #7 Moochie? Why didn't he take #4? Charles Barkley jersey retirement maybe?

As a decent backup, Moochie will make in the next 6 years about FOUR TIMES what Oscar Robertson made in his career.

Yeah, I'd say Lucky 7 is about right!

You're absolutely right. Lucky #7 as in "my-soul-devouring-undead-agent-rolled-the-dice-and-ended-up-with-lucky-7s-for-me-so-I'm-changing-my-uniform-number-to-honor-him."

That, or Moochie really likes prime numbers.

Maybe, since he is here long term then he wants to fit in with the single digits.
    #2- Mo
    #3- Franchise
    #4- Barkley retired or Griffin?
    #5-Mobley
    #6- T-Mo
    #7- Mooch
    #8- Jackson

I don't know maybe he wanted to be more away from #13 given the luck a long term contract has brought Cato or is it the bad luck it brought the Rockets. Either way...

Moochies # in the CBA was 5 (Check front page of CC.net.)

    So 12 - 5 = 7.

Pretty simple, what's not so simple is why the rox gave him nearly 4 million a yr. for almost 6 yrs. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Mooch back but that is a little steep.
