Do you have a look-alike? Moochie Norris: "A few people have thought I was Will Smith."[/B] What the hell, Will smith? http://www.nba.com/allaccess/roundtable_040122.html
Yeah it was funny. What else that surprised me was Aaron Williams smiling in the picture that surprised me. He's slowly becoming one of the guys I cheer for because of the way he plays. He's like the total bad a$$. I remember the finals last year where he dived hard for the ball, the whole arena went crazy and he just got back up and got back down the court with out showing a single expression. He seem just like your typical "blue-collar" player, get on the court, do the right thing, play hard, and don't want anything special cuz it's all a part of the days work.
speaking of ex-rockets. Griffin spent last night in jail.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ex-Rocket Eddie Griffin faces night in jail By ANDREW TILGHMAN Copyright 2004 Houston Chronicle Former Houston Rockets player Eddie Griffin is facing a night in the county jail after a judge this morning revoked his bond amid allegations that he had violated his curfew and gotten into a confrontation. Harris County prosecutors say Griffin was under a court order not to leave his southwest Houston home after 6 p.m. when he tried to assault a man outside a gas station on Richmond Avenue about 3 a.m. on Dec. 23. The 6-foot-9-inch basketball player is to be back in court Tuesday, when state District Judge Mike Anderson will decide whether to release him on bond or leave him in jail until he goes to trial on assault charges later this year. Griffin was accused in October of punching a young woman and shooting at her after she walked into his home and found him in bed with another woman. He was released in lieu of a $30,000 bond then after being charged with aggravated assault, punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Griffin had planned to check into the Betty Ford Center in California this week for treatment of alcohol abuse. His attorney, Rusty Hardin, urged the judge not to detain Griffin so he could undergo treatment. But Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Devine said she will encourage Anderson to leave Griffin in jail. "If he is violating the conditions of his bond, he should be treated like any other defendant in this courthouse," Devine said. Prosecutors have not charged Griffin with any crime stemming from the December incident, she said. Griffin was convicted on Jan. 20 of misdemeanor drug possession after a deputy constable found an eighth of an ounce of mar1juana in the center console of his car. He is expected to receive probation at his sentencing on Feb. 13. The Rockets indefinitely suspended Griffin in mid-October after the third-year forward, a first-round draft pick, missed a preseason road trip and practices. The team did not pick up the option on his $2.3 million annual contract and he signed with the New Jersey Nets in December.
