First off , it's been a while since I've posted. I've stayed away until after the draft was over because of all the BS floating around. Not to mention my old PC totally crapped out and I just recently recieved a new DELL. (Nice, too)

Anyway, I was pretty happy with the picks we made. I pretty much knew who we were going to pick in the 1st round. But the 2nd round pick got me really excited. I've seen this kid play and let me tell ya, he's good and he's fast. I really think T. Brown's days are numbered and Moochie's playing time is numbered. We will soon see the dribble, dribble .........dribble that Mooch specializes in come to an end. Tito can score and he can pass even better. He can fill the lane and is very athletic, almost as much as Wink. This gives us some insurance incase wink's ear problems persist.

I expect us to win alot of the summer league games with Nachbar, Eddie, and Maddox on the same team. I think we still need another defensive minded 2/3. The most logical player that comes to mind Byron Mouton of Maryland. He has good size, good skill, and a terp. What more could you want? There's no need to sign a FA that's going to want alot of playing time when all we need is maybe 10-15 minutes and no pressure to score. Mouton would fit in perfectly with his skill and his rookie salary. That would leave us with enough mid level cap for one good frontcourt player.

    Sign B. Mouton!

Say what you will about Mooch, but the stats don't lie. He avg 5 assist pg and he had a 2.5 a/to ratio. Almost every player who is in the L was a very good player in college, so just because he had one good season doesn't mean he's just going to take over, the rook has to prove himself.

    DP,

I think you may have something there with B. Mouton. He played a vital role in Maryland's run to the title. Not a big scorer, rebounder, etc, etc. but does all the little things to help a team win.

Could this be the Mario Ellie type player that some people on this board have been looking for? I'm not sure, but does seem to have some interesting qualities about him.

Moochie is getting up there in age and has a rather large contract for a backup PG. Those 2 factors may cause the Rockets to lean toward trading him.

Tito had an excellent year at Fresno State and was a highly touted HS player. He should be able to beat out Brown for a spot on the roster...but he hasn't played competitively for a year so its not a given.

Mooch is flippen 28! That's older than I imagined but that means he is in his prime...not old.

I know everybody hates Mooch around here but I like him. If you watched him towards the end of the season (I know, tough to do) then you would have seen improvement in his game. He didn't dribble nearly as much.

Tito is insurance in case Steve's problems continue or worsen. Besides that, He'd have to do something really special to become the #2 pg. Very unlikely.

Wasnt Mouton's brother killed in Houston? He may have some connections to the city, so he may actually want to play for the Rocks.

Yea, I believe he was. I remember watching something about that during the final four. I think he's from Louisiana so I'm sure there are some ties to this city other than TMo and Stevie.
