I was just watching the Premiership soccer/football games here in England. They had a one minute moment of silence at EVERY game for these two girls that got kidnapped and killed recently. What if we had those at every major sporting event in the US. It would end up being a list of children killed from week to week accompanied by a moment of silence before every game. Would that be more effective at bringing the causes (insert laundry list ) of deaths directly into the public's face, and maybe inserting it directly on the agenda? Who's gonna say 'hey, get on with the game?' Just a thought.

Dont U.S. sports take a minutes silence when someone connected to the club, or sport dies? In Australia we have a minutes silence for things such as ANZAC day and September 11th.
