Always thought the band was ok for a while until I started listening to a lot more of their stuff recently which has me blown away. I'm surprised they don't get more recognition.

So far I like pretty much all of "Lonesome Crowded West" and "This is a long drive"

    Top Songs:
    1) Dramamine
    2) Sunspots in the house of the late scapegoat
    3) Teeth Like God's sunshine
    4.) Breakthrough
    5.)Bukowski
    6) Convenient Parking
    7.) Polar Opposites
    8.) Custom Concern

Haven't been able to find a good copy of "The Fruit that ate itself" (some people claim it to be their worst album) , really liked a song on it called "Sunspots in the house of the late scapegoat"

Haven't listened to the later albums but any good recommendations?

(Also people should watch their early documentary) - pretty crazy how they started off

The Moon and Antarctica is a wonderful album as well. Despite a lack of critical success, and a step in the mainstream direction, I loved Good News and it's one of my favorite albums in general.

I think anything they have released is worth a full listen.

Spitting Venom of the newest LP is one of my favorite songs by the band.

good news for people who love bad news is one fine album. As for later albums look at we were dead before the ship even sank. This is my favorite song off that album:

One of my buddies is really into them. What I've heard is pretty good.

If you want to check out something vaguely similar to Modest Mouse, but completely different at the same time, check out Foxy Shazam. They're one of my favorites. Best concert I've ever been to.

The Moon and Antartica and Good News are both stellar albums from start to finish.

I got really into Never Ending Math Equations in middle school. So that whole album has the nostalgia factor for me.

    Trailer Trash
    Teeth Like Gods Shoeshine
    Ocean Breathes Salty
    Missed the Boat
    Florida
    Bury Me With It

They have a ton of great songs.

Ok, so the only album I don't have is "Good News for People Who Love Bad News." Looked through the songs and looks like a lot of repeats from the other albums. Will give it a shot after I get done with listening to every song in the other ones.

"Moon and Antartica" and "We were already dead when the ship sank" sounds badass so far I'm really looking forward to hearing them live one day. Most of the bands I've seen live have been let downs in terms of fan commitment, like Tool was awesome but they really don't seem to give a crap anymore, Modest Mouse seems like they really care about their fan base.

 song gives you chills. Back when they were a 3 man band, Isaac is just great at being able to do lead vocals/guitar.

Dramamine still tops the list for me though, I'd always let listen to it when I was in a bad mood and it would make me forget all the negativity and just be like **** it.
