Mobley's Ultimate Commitment to the Team Isn't Selfish

He signed a long-term contract he knew was well below market value simply because he wanted to contribute to the team and win a championship. I tell you, most players only dream of being that "selfish".

If Mobley is sitting around on offense, look at the coach for either not setting up better plays or for still keeping him in the game if he's screwing up.

We won't be able to trade Mobley because there's nobody out there that can match his talent for price... which is also why he signed the contract he did.

Again, there's no tolerance in the NTBA for selfish play, and if there is, that's because the coach has it as part of the gameplan.

I guess you couldn't respond in the other thread. You know. The one you are basically responding to.

I couldn't agree more. Mobley hustles and plays hard and takes way too much crap from the fans.

The Rockets struggles isn't entirely on Mobley.
I think its more to do with the game plan. If Rudy was a decent coach, this team would be in the 4th or 5th seed right now. Comeon, do you really think teams like the TWolves and Jazz are better than the Rockets.

Let's see. You enjoy posts that are favorable to Cuttino but ultimately blame Rudy for what a ball hog does on the court. I'm all for being positive. This team will be a contender. It is all a learning process. Hopefully, Cuttino will "get it" because I believe two penetraters on the court with Yao would be impossible to stop. I actually applaud Cat's heart and passion. But, we need him to become more of a team player.

Again, I am all for being positive. Let's just put it in one thread.

big, i think what Rockets88 meant to say was that maybe it was rudy's plan to give Cat some iso plays, which many on this bbs seem to think is ball hogging. I personally dont mind a few isos in a game, if its exploiting the other team's defense.

I like mobes...Sometimes he plays immaturely, but overall, he works hard, wants to win, is a good guy, and likes being a Rocket. Plus, he comes at a cheap price. I'll take that.

C'mon. Yes, we all know there are some isolation plays that we run for Cuttino but even Cat's mother would call him a ball hog. At this point of his career, he seems to be more worried about making the All-Star team than making the Finals.
