Well, which tandem has more potential; Dickerson and Harrington, or Mobley and Thomas?

I feel that Mobley and Thomas have more potential to fit the Rockets needs than would a Dickerson and Harrington tandem.

Mobley and Thomas are ideal for a full court running team, while Dickerson (although fast) and Harrington are suited for a half court type of game.

Overall talent wise Dickerson and Harrinton are more talented.

    What do you think?

Thomas is the starting PF in the 2000-2001 season!!!

Good comparison. I'll take Mobley and Thomas, because they shown more ability to create their own shots. That's what we need. We need those two to be spot go to guys when Francis is on the bench or being hounded with double-teams.

Vancouver has Shareef and Bibby to share the go-to guy responsibilities. Dickerson and Harrington aren't asked to break down defenses. Another to note, stat-wise. Vancouver gives their starters much more minutes than Houston.

    Dickerson is averaging 37 min/gm
    Harrington is averaging 33

Thomas is developing a larger repetoire than Harrington, and showing the same toughness. But, we must say Harrington is proven, Thomas is not, yet. Neither one of them have shown the ability to beat a double-team, but they may never have to to be effective.

Dickerson vs Mobley is a matter of taste, in my opinion. The pure shooter, slasher vs the streak shooter, creater. The more Mobley sees the floor and the open men, the more effective his drives will be. Teams must collapse on his drives, last night, he dished extremely well. Hakeem fumbled two beautiful passes though.

Mobley has the ability to give Francis some relief as set-up man. I don't see Dickerson being able to relieve Bibby; not last year, at least.

I say Dickerson and Othella win. Dickerson is a quicker down the court than Mobley and he is a better team player in the half court. mobley is better at iso though. Thomas hasn't really been a force on the break.
