Did you guys see the 3 pathetic attempts of Cuttino to pass the ball to Steve in the Dunk contest?

I mean, he can't even pass the ball standing still with 3 chances.

Even Barkley was cracking on both of them saying neither one of them like to pass....classic.

    :)

Oh, and if Steve would have connected on that first dunk it would have brought the house down.

I don't mean it in a nasty sense, more of a comical sense.

I think Steve actually wanted Moochie to be there to throw it, but the NBA said to use Cat as he was already going to be there.

I think it was a poor structure, the wheel is bad.

I wish Steve would have done that 1st dunk again in the last round since he wasn't going to do the Stansbury Statue of liberty dunk.

PS. I don't hate Mobley, I just expect more out of Steve and him, as they are supposed to be the leaders on the Rockets. I expect them to lead.

That dunk Francis tried first was insane...if he had hit that, it would've been all over.

The Mobley/Francis thing was embarrassing. I've seen them do better alley oops in games. I expected something better than a fairly straight ahead alley oop.

The entire NBA marketing group should be fired. They had one established star in the game, and their idiot gimmick ruined any chance he had. Time for Stern to make up for it by making sure we have the right lotto combination. ;)

Damn steve's first dunk would've been awesome. And man they messed up the second one. And man the third one was weak. If he really did it lamely in a protest sort of sense that would rule.

The announcers ragging on them not liking to pass and moochie having to dribble before he passes was classic. Apparently they keep up with us pretty good.

    Hey DaDa

I meant my post in a comical sense, too, just because your impatience with Mobley is kind of well-documented. Which is not a bad thing, as I will agree he does some bone-headed things. I guess I just don't get as frustrated as you do with him.

When someone mentioned Steve would bring Moochie next time, I think Kenny Smith said, it wouldn't matter because Moochie would have to dribble it a few times before he could pass it. LOL! You'd think they read this bbs. ;)

CLFranchise, I am watching the contest again right now...the first dunk attempt by Francis was where he threw it up and ran, picked it up and attempted to hit the ball off the backboard and then slam it. If that had landed it would have been fabulous.

    As for Kobe chickening out...

In a interview with Kobe Bryant...

"......So Kobe, who's your favorite for the dunk contest?"

"Well I like Jason Richardson. That kids got a lot of stuff."

"Why aren't you in the contest Kobe? I know a lot of the fans would love to see you there"

    "Because I'm too old. heh"

    "Too old? You're only 23!"

"Yeah, well they didn't ask me to be in it..."

Damn, thas right, it looked like Stevie didn't get high enough on that first dunk...as weird as it may seem, but he wasnt in the air long enough to hit it off the backboard and dunk it. That, and he lost the ball...

Whatever, Kobe's a lil bi*ch, and VC sucks too, I don't care if he's injured or what, he wouldnt be in it even if he was healthy.

The award isn't for Slam Dunk Champ nowadays. It's just to see who gets to be Vince's b****.

    Does Cuttino ever prepare?

Here was the strategy with Swoopes during 2 ball...
"None at all. We have no idea what our strategy is. "
