In a "mobile" or a portable, as in laptop?

Maybe a couple more years, or as few as 18 months?

regret it or not, enjoy 20 minute battery lifes with quad cores sucking all the juice from your system. Until they find a way to lessen the load on the battery Qs wont become mainstream until someone finds a way to lessen power to other major components to allow decent battery life coupled with expected use.

Who is really going to need it? I just bought a AMD Phantom 9500 Quad Core. The only time I get the full use out of it is when I ran my own program, which can be quite CPU intensive sometimes. Other than that, I think my Core Duo laptop is just as fast.
