Mo Williams(notes) is 27, healthy and has three years and $26 million remaining on his Cleveland Cavaliers contract. But none of that mattered much to him this summer after he watched LeBron James(notes) leave the Cavs to join the Miami Heat. Williams said he was so depressed by James’ exit that he considered walking away from the NBA.
“That’s how bad it got,” Williams said. “I contemplated it. I really sat down and envisioned life after basketball. …I really saw myself not playing.

    He knew Lebron made him.

    He's such a whiner.

Or he's an over emotional biznatch. And Lebron didnt "make" him, he was good and on the rise before the cavs got him, thats why they picked him up.

playing with lebron made him more relevant nationally, and an all-star. now he's back to being a nobody. it's understandable that the fame is gone now.

Breaking news: John Amaechi has rejoined the NBA as a member of the Cavs, exclaiming that he sensed an opportunity to be a rebound.

And this is the man that Lebron's critics bring up to bash LeBron.

A man that contemplated retiring because LeBron left

    Righttttt that man.

Cry me a freakin river. Mo Williams is making more than 99.9% of the general population. 3 years for 26 million????? I wouldn't give a crap if I had to play basketball in Iraq if I was getting paid that kind of money. Deal with it Mo. So sick of all these damn athletes crying about their situations when they're getting paid millions

I would be totally stoked. Making millions with the opportunity to prove everyone wrong.

    Sounds good to me...

It must have really shocked Mo. I mean for him to consider walking away from the game??? He must have thought Ledouche wasn't leaving..

He didn't deserve an all-star spot.

Ok, I concede, he wouldn't have got the attention had he not played with Lebron.

I guess you also forgot that Mo Williams was a cancer before he arrived in Cleveland. He and Redd were hogging all the shots on that team, marginalizing their best player. Thankfully Bucks' GM had enough and replaced his sorry ass for one of the most promising pgs in the league.

They had a really close relationship in Cleveland with Lebron and he felt like he was backstabbed. How does that make him a whiner?
