Ok Mo bashers please bring it on. Achebe, BobFinn* what negative do you have to say now? He should have 40? He should have had more rebounds? He should have more block shots? I know there is something out there you will find negative about him. Anyway I gonna say it right now, Mo Taylor will be the player of the week for the NBA. I just got back from the game and it was fantastic. The energy and excitement was once again in the air. The fans actually played a part in the win with their loudness at the end of the game. It also helped to pump up our Rockets and got their adrenaline flowing to hit some big shots. Take the Tracy McGrady with all your trash talking. I saw Cuttino stare him down a couple of times during the game. Hakeem did well, Mo did excellent, Cuttino was 9 of 14 and hit some incredible shots, and Steve Francis turned it on when he needed. He hit some clutch shots. Also I gotta give Walt some props as well since he played pretty good defense on McGrady at the end of the game and he also hit the 3pt shot that got us the lead for good. This was a good win and if we can somehow beat Portland Monday it will be icing on the cake. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
Let's take the attitude of our Rockets-- its not if we somehow beat Portland, its when we somehow beat Portland. The Rockets have the swagger and confidence on the court, so let's bring it to the BBS! Otherwise, excellent recap of the game. Hadn't thought about Mo being player of the week-- but he has to be. He's averaging in the high 20s in points, around 7-8 rebounds, and the Rockets are 3-0 with wins over pretty good opponents. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." Cmon let me hear one positive thing. Can he get some props? ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder

Why am I not surprised that in a game in which the Rockets look like a playoff team, take over down the stretch, and Mo has a career game Mo still gets bashed. Dream was the man on the boards tonight, not Mo. Most teams would love to have their starting C and PF grabbing a combined 17 rebounds per game. Very good numbers for your big men imho. Great win for the Rockets. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." "We want a higher seed. There's no doubt. Bob, Disregard some of the contents of my last post. I thought you were serious there for a minute! ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." "We want a higher seed. I would like to point out in Finn*'s defense that some posters had claimed Mo would get more rebounds with increased minutes on the floor. Mango ------------------ Spring Cleaning!!!

Cat-get your facts straight, it was 18. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
I remember all the posts; "Mo will up his rebounding average to 8 per game...." I think it's just as well that Dream is rebounding so well because it covers Mo in that department and allows him to stay on the floor and do that which he is good at, namely scoring! TheCat; I'm not bashing Mo here, just pointing out that he doesn't NEED to be a good rebounder right now, which is just as well because he isn't, but he IS a good scorer, and the more of that the merrier! ------------------
Hadn't thought about Mo being player of the week-- but he has to be. He's averaging in the high 20s in points, around 7-8 rebounds, and the Rockets are 3-0 with wins over pretty good opponents. Mo had a good week (3-0 for week, 4 game winning streak 26ppg, 7rpg, 2.3 apg), but I don't think he's got a shot a player of the week. Here's some other stats: Iverson 2-0 for week, 6 game winning streak 39.5ppg,2apg, 6.5rpg Ray Allen 3-0 for week, 28.6ppg, 7rpg, 4.6apg Shawn Marion 3-0 for week 21ppg, 13.3rpg, 5.6apg Shaq 3-0 for week, 27ppg, 9.6rpg, 5.6apg Tracy McGrady 0-2 for week, 38ppg, 8.5rpg, 5apg Vince Carter 1-2 for the week, 36.6ppg , 10.6 rpg, 3.6 apg Iverson has another game tonigh in Charlotte. If Philly wins and Iverson puts up numbers, then he's probably player of the week. Even though their teams each lost a couple of games this week, McGrady and Carter have to be in the running with those sick stat lines. Marion might have an outside chance since he's been the man in the Phoenix turn around the last 3 games. ------------------
It's also worth noting that the Rockets outrebounded the Magic by 17. Does it really matter who got the boards? ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
The return of aelliott! Where have you been, man? Heck, Bobfinn*'s being pretty ballsy in the face of that last performance. But in a sense, he's right. Mo is a very good PF in many ways, but he has limitations. Namely, he rebounds worse than my aged grandmother. I mean, if you're THAT size, THAT athletic, you'd think you'd rebound more by ACCIDENT than Mo manages in a game. That said, he can score like a Mo-fricker. Bobfinn*: I know, I watched it. But that was AT Notre Dame in a game they HAD to win, and we didn't. At a neutral arena, or at BC, we beat them . Besides, 9/10 he doesn't make that shot. ------------------ Why is it that everytime BC defeats a major conference opponent, that opponent promptly goes on a losing streak? PS. Notre Dame sucks
