When Mo comes back do you think he will be able to contribute the way he was towards the end of last season?

I know he is not a vital part of the offense but down the stretch it seemed like he was at time the only one showing up, especially in the fourth quarter

he has a consistent 15 footer and showed a great baby hook dont know about you guy but offensively he looked like a poor mans webber

just want hear your opinions on what his role will be this year

ROX are paying him way too much to not play him.

If he has no more injuries this year, he could be really great in this offense. The offense is something that Mo should handle and has the right skill set for. I could honestly see Mo as the starter within a month if Eggie doesn't play well.

mo taylor IS a vital part of this offense. he is directly responsible for relieving pressure off of yao ming. if he is consistently knocking down the 12-18 footer, which we all know he can do, his man will be that much more reluctant to double off of him.

to answer your question, yes. i do believe motay will come in with the same effectiveness as the end of last season. a month or so ago, someone started a thread asking who would benefit the most from JVG's hiring. i answered motay.

motay, for all of his detractors, is still one of the hardest workers on this team. he came into camp in the best shape of his life. he seperated his shoulder, yet has not stopped practicing. he just practices and shoots with his one good arm. many other players would've taken the excuse of being hurt as good enough reason to sit out...but not mo. he's going full steam ahead. part of that i HAVE to give credit to JVG...since i don't recall any former rockets (at least of the past 3-4 years) having that kind of dedication.

so, motay is critical to this team's success. should he adopt JVG's attitude and intensity towards the defensive and rebounding aspects of the game, we'll have a damn fine power forward. a damn fine one.

MoT looked great last year coming off a serious injury. He lost lots of weight, which should allow him to move around a lot better, and takes off serious pressure off his heel. MoT was almost unstoppable with his jump hook last season and can hit mid-range jumpers like crazy. MoT is a big guy and hopefully he will start banging inside (most likely won't though). Once MoT is 100%, I think he will be a nice compliment to Yao. BTW, I saw some pics with MoT without his sling practicing, anyone know how much longer he has to sit out?

since i guess most are saying hell be a good fit, we can start a debate on weather or who will be more productive at the 4 spot and who should start

i think mo should start bc his offensive play is better than eddies (last year) but defensively eddie brings alot

with yao, steve, cat, i dont think we need another threat and could use help in the paint or we could go for the dallas approach and put 5 guys out there who can go for 20 a night

but it would also be sensible to let mo come off the bench and give us a spark esp late in games

    I totally agree...

Can I cast my vote against the "joke spelling" of Eddie's name? Eggie just reads funny.

If Mo can keep hitting those jump hooks he was hitting in the post in the couple of games I saw last year then he will be a huge plus for the team off the bench.

No question that Mo's low post scoring is critical for this team, especially if someone like Yao is on the bench. For this team to succeed we need either Yao or Mo in the block making teams honest with our low post game.

Not for a dislocated shoulder, he will only be out for 3-4 weeks. Anyone know how much longer he has to go, I saw pics of him working out without the sling.
