I was wondering if the Rockets make the playoffs will Mo be able to play? If so I would consider the Rockets a big threat when they get there. If not there goes our season.:( Please clarify that for me.I also think Francis might leave the Rockets if they don't have a winning seson this year. I also say Francis is loyal and he and he would desert the Rockets like that.I don't know which one to blieve.
This is my equation for winning games next year

    Francis +Mobley +Rice +Taylor +Griffin = Playoffs

To me until that line up is out we won't win.In the process we can get rid of Walt and Cato and pick up some real basketball players.

Your assessment is harsh, VC. We have a solid team now, even without Mo Taylor. Cato has the tools to be a top 10 center, and he is now making the effort. Let's not give up on him. Maybe with Willis to show him the way, he will have a basketball ephany and soar to the heights (pun intended).

As for Walt, he is a good man to have around, chemistry-wise and talent-wise. If we do trade him, he will not go for peanuts as in the case of the Dream.

As for the Griffin, I am glad to see he will get a lot of PT this year, which will only make him more effective next year. You are absolutely right, Taylor will make our team stronger when he comes back. Just don't rush his healing process. Once he is back, Rudy has some really positive, hair-pulling to do.

But don't think of next year, let's win it all THIS year.

That's a good lineup for the future and if you exchange Rice with Morris it looks even better.

Excellent observation, Nils, Morris is looking like the real deal. IMO, he will have the SF position sewn up by the end of the year with Rice coming off the bench to provide instant offense punch.

I would think that if taylor was just coming back for the playoffs he would be out of shape and would be very rusty. Look at Alonzo last year when he came back it took him a while to get back in the flow of things. I hope Taylor just takes the year off and gets lets everything heal.

as loyal as Francis is the old motto is "there's no place like home." Living in D.C, I constantly hear grumblings about bringing in Stevie when he is a F.A. with all the available cap space the Wizards have. I'm hoping the Wizards are still lousy then!

That was New York, a place where no one sang his praises. IMO, he will be happy coming off the bench when the media here sing his praises as the "Instant Offense Man" and the crowd cheers to see him enter the game to be the primary "go to" (redundancy for emphasis) option. I agree that Rice loves the limelight, but he will get more of it as the wounded (feet and back) but dangerous top gun.
