Well all the Maurice bashers were going wild over his last game against Vancouver. Tonight the man did a lot better- he played way above what so many of you expected. 22 points , 9 rebounds! Loved it didnt you?

Mo supporters, tonight let's go on about him since the Rockets won.

Yeah I agree completely Cat.

Mo played some good D on Jamison towards the end of the game also.

Go MO & Mooch.

Pleasently surprised by all the activity at the 4 tonite! I try not to bash any of the players...I really don't see many reasons to bash tonite.

I have bashed Mo, so now I must give him proper respect. He played VERY well tonight, as did KT. I liked the twin PF lineup that Rudy used.

Good game MO !!

Oh, and Heath, if you are going to steal my lines, at least credit me...sheesh...

Very good game tonight by Mo. I saw a little more of the desire that I personally rarely saw this season (although I know some of you did...). Nice couple of offensive boards, not to mention, the man shot really well tonight. His defense down the stretch was actually pretty good.

The Cat I am with you. I get so sick and tired of all the Mo bashers. I sure hope they can come out and at least give credit where it is due.

22 points, 9 rebs (5 offensive) and some great defense on Jamison at the end of the game to keep him from winning the game for G.S like he did against the Lakers.

It was also good to see Kenny T. do well tonight too. If we can get half of what we got from the PF position on a consistent basis we will be ok.

My only complaint tonight is why Rudy didnt bring Hakeem back in? The layups and rebounds G.S. was getting at the end of the game could have been neutralized by the Dream.

And S.A. lost tonight so we made some ground in the Midwest this week.

We are in 2nd place in the division and tied for 6th in playoff seedings.

Here are the current standings.

Take a good look, because we got SA and the Lakers coming in this next week.

Mo is going to develop into a 22-9 over the next few seasons. He is young, and will make a great future Rocket.

Aside from the scoring and rebounding, Mo looked very good on defense tonight. Anyone notice how hard he was working to root Jamison out of the low post and not let him establish excellent position? Thats the type of defense the Rockets need out of their PF position. Nothing spectacular, just play good solid fundamental position defense.

It really irked me tho when Rudy went real small with Bullard at PF. I felt a major reason for the Warriors big comeback was that the Rockets were giving up too many second chance pts in that stretch and werent able to match up defensively on the interior against the Warriors. Jamison simply abused Bullard and got off his early shooting woes in a hurry. I was glad Rudy brought in Mo again in the 4th qtr after Bullard had taken enough abuse and closed the game off with him.

Ups, sorry. I actually was hoping Clutch would use your line for the headline, so I was celebrating with it. As I came right of the chat I didnt think of all those who was not there to se your line. But then again - I can't go crediting everything I say - someone has prolly said it before me anyway [IMG]

MOOOOCH FRO THREEE!!!
DaDakota's headline suggestion in the chat, after Mooch banked in - with the Fro [IMG] - [IMG] a three to give the Rockets their 3rd straight win to secure a 3-1 roadtrip.

Ermmm, I'm NOT a basher of any player on the Rockets, and especially not of Mo T, but to think the guy will actually average 9 boards per game is a bit far-fetched. He always has been a mediocre rebounder and just doesn't seem to be able to change that.

Sure he had a MASSIVE rebounding night tonight with 9, but that probably leads one to believe that he'll be a 6 rpg kind of guy.

Nice to see him getting his shot to fall!! If Mo can keep this sort of thing up (16ppg,6rpg) then I'm all for signing him again (within reason!) - plus it should mean we get ourselves some post-season action!

This is what I'm talking about. The Rockets are so much better when they get solid down-low play. I hope Taylor can now become consistent and not have another MIA against McDyess and the Nuggets on Saturday.

Mo had a very solid game. The sad part is that getting 9 rebounds is a great game for Mo when in actuality the team needs him to AVERAGE 9 rebounds a game to be a serious playoff threat.

WIll someone explain how Mo got his boards.
I know a couple were offensive, but was he using his body and positioning more. Because he doesnt "sky" that well due to his body frame and I am hoping he is learning to use his size better.
Was this the case or was he just in the right place at the right time?

Regardless, GREAT game by him. I hope cato can come back successfully to give us a stronger frontcourt and a strogner defense more importantly.

I have and will still stand behind Mo!We all know he can score but he is starting to score defferently. He is driving to the basket and trying to go over other PFs instead of doing his cross over between the legs then pull up and shoot routine!

I have always seen him hustling out on the court, all year long but his defense has been a little lousy but I dont think he has been as bad as some have said on this board.I know he can and will improve his rebounding numbers as well,I think he will average 6 or 7 rebounds this season.

Its just going to take some time and I think most of the Rocket fans will start to like him while the season goes on!

I have been a KT basher though and the past few games I have really liked his play coming off the bench. If we could get this out of Mo and KT consistanly then we could make some serious noise!

Now you are going too far. Goading people to imply they didn't like a Rockets win. The Cat is on the DARKSIDE.

and to think I even shot a fur ball warning at ya: Backlash Bashing Sucks

The Cat...you officially SUCK in my book.

It is a long season, with many fur balls. This should be fun!
