I came to love the NBA just a little bit more today when I saw this. Even though his career was tragically cut short, it was obvious how great a player he was and likely would've become. If not for his injury I think we'd be mentioning him in all those "greatest center" discussions. It was real classy to let him in despite the fact that he played less than three seasons.

I thought it was a great story as well that he was inducted posthumously, and that the memory of a great player whose career was cut short was remembered.

But to play devil's advocate, this kind of opens the door on a player like Grant Hill. He was a very good, if not one of the best players from 1994-1999, when he got hurt. Does he get in now since his career has been injury-plagued for four seasons now?

I am aware of the fact that he has not retired, but if his next come back fails, and he decides to hang them up, does he deserve to be in the HOF?

Yes... I really do wonder if Hill would make it in if he retired tomorrow. Real tough to tell. No question that he should at least be considered though, no what he does for the rest of his career.

...based on his immaculate reputation around the league, I think he will make it in the Hall Of Fame...

I remember watching Grant Hill dunking on Mutumbo and Mourning when it was un heard of...

Anyone remember those two baseline dunks???
