Did you see how he knows how to get out of Dream's way so Dream can block the shot for him? [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited December 10, 2000).]
Ya, great D Mo... All-NBA defense will definitely include Mo... Does that mean that Bull will be shafted and drop the 2nd team? ------------------ Check out my homepage! Loads of sports pics! http://www.public.asu.edu/~sykim/
Heyp, I am really getting very upset on how much you bash Mo. I think he played a helluva better defense than K.T. As you can see in the game tonight Baker was killing him. As you know he comes off the bench around the same time as K.T. so it was K.T who got a lot of minutes against him. And oh yeah he played so bad of defense he fouled out. Can you please say something good about Mo T. for a change. He had a great night tonight and was a focal point tonight. His shots were also dunks and in the paint and not standing around the 3 point line shooting wide open 3's. He also had 7 rebounds and I know you saw that dunk over Ewing? If it would have been Kenny it would hit the back of the rim. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
I bash Mo as much as anyone, as I think he plays very SOFT. However, tonight he played big and tough. Mo had a good game. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from Monkeys and Apes, then why are there still Monkeys and apes?
I am a big time Mo basher but I beleive in giving props where props are due and tonight Mo played like a power forward. If Mo would avg 20 and 7 every night you would not hear any Mo bashing. If Mo will continue this style of play I will back off my Mo must go stance. But one game will not change my stance. ------------------
heypartners not being sarcastic he's serious. Mo Taylor has been watching the Classic sports geatest Rockets games. Way to go Mo! ------------------
I am not a super fan of Mo T. but I think he will come around. I still think he is our best P.F. that we can put on the floor. K.T. is too erratic at times but I do like his hustle and determination but alot of times I am left disappointed because he cant finish a wide open shot or he get called for an offensive foul like he did tonight. I will admit he was on fire from 3 land tonight though. But we didnt hear from him in the second half. He disappeared and Vin Baker was takng him to school down low. He is just too short in the paint. I like what he brings off the bench but not as a starter. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
I think the 7 rebounds a game is feasible and we should get that production from Mo but I'm not greedy and dont expect 20 a game from him. I would be very content if he could score in the 15-17 range a game. For all the Mo bashers, true he had been playing soft up to tonights game but thats not entirely his fault. Being the new guy he wasn't trying to mess up the chemistry of the team and I think that affected his mentality and his numbers. He said it in the post game interview best when he said" Rudy just told me to go out there and play, and thats what you want to hear as a player." MO is learning to use his talent to help this team. Also he has been very foul prone which also has effected his minutes and numbers, but tonight he managed to stay out of foul trouble. Hell of a game by dream,Mo, Franchise, Mooch,Bull, and Cuttino. Our bench score 49 points! I can't think of anybody in the league with a better bench, not even Portland ------------------ www.truebballfansite.homestead.com
Tacoma, I saw that too, I hope it is as he says, but Mo has a long way to go to get me on his side. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from Monkeys and Apes, then why are there still Monkeys and apes?
I was very concerned as the 7 min mark of the 4th qtr approached, and Rudy was leaving KT in the game. It really disturbs me that no matter how the game is going, Rudy finishes with KT. I was very concerned he would do this again tonight despite Mo showing he more than deserved to finish the game. I was already preparing for anger and defeat if KT finished the game tonight. I practically threw the remote at the television when KT let Baker go baseline for a dunk instead of making him go to the middle so the defense could help. KT fouling out in a sense saved Rudy from making a huge blunder in letting KT finish the game. Anyone notice how much respect the Sonics defense was giving Mo in the 4th? He was drawing quick double teams and made the adept pass out of them. ------------------ Check out the Best Source for Draft Info Draftsource.net
Man I was doing the same thing as far as screaming at the T.V. at Rudy. What is it with him and K.T.? I was so glad to see K.T. foul out so he could get Mo back in. Mo did a much better defense on Baker and he is much bigger and stronger than K.T. I also commented in another thread that K.T. is good sparkplug off the bench but should not be starting, anywhere. In a lot of games this season I have question Rudy's substitution pattern. I was also glad to see him bring Hakeem back in, especially since he was doing so well. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
cato13...you think I'm a Mo basher??? I'm not even in the top 100 on this board. The only player I bash is your man Cato! This thread is in praise of dream written after 3 blocks in a row. Have some fun, man!
pe You are always starting up threads bashing Mo and as far as Cato, you have good reason to bash him. He is getting paid out the ying yang and hasnt produced. I still think we are a better team with him and I also think that he plays defense well and can rebound more than people are giving him credit. If he had any kind of offensive game he could do some things. The reason I chose his name was because at the time he was traded to us he was going off in the pre-season and I thought we had a steal. So did the Rockets since they decided to go ahead and sign him long term. Sike! Also Stevie Franchise was taken. Hopefully Cato can still come around though and I will be glad when we get Jason Collier back. Did I say that? ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
this is heypocrasy!! popotamus!! Alright Cato13, what is up with this. Go find a thread, then. and don't trip over all the other Mo bashing thread while searching for one started by me. Hell, find me even just a post and say I'm one of the top 100 Mo bashers. Since75 of course you are right. Look at the time on my post. That was in the third quarter after 2 stuffs of Vin and another quick block. I was estatic for Dream. This was a game-time post meant to have fun. I am a rabid fan cheering for the Man. Mo just got in the way! hehe. ------------------ "I'm not going to censor myself or my opinions because some are sensitive...fire away!" --Jeff 12/7/00 [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited December 10, 2000).]
Yay! Let's all bash Cato for a while since Hakeem and Mo have just had good games! you know what he did last night? That's RIGHT! 0 points, 0 rebounds , o assists... one big fat o-fer. He seems to have had a lot of these lately. In fact, I don't *remember* the last time he didn't. Cato *stinks*. All the talent in the world doesn't do you any good if you can't get off the *frickin* IR. ------------------ Shandon Anderson rocks. The lottery sucks. Playoffs 2001.

He could easily be one of the best back-up PFs in the league, after Vin Baker...hehe. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
Try again Cato13. That is not a thread started by me, for one. Secondly, it is not a bash of Mo. It is a joke. What is your point? You will never find a post of mine that bashes Mo. Hell, go look at my last clutchplay. Those threads are my most thought out, and I chose one that illustrates how to use Mo and how we need to use him. Go yell at Bob Finn* if you want a real Mo basher. In the immortal words of WC Fields: Go away boy, you are bothering me!
Everyone who bashes Mo can say that it was just a joke and true you have not had too many threads started to bash Mo except this one. But you asked me to find one post and I did. As I did try to find one I did notice you werent as much of a basher as I thought. I could have gotten you mixed up with Bob Finn because as I looked at the past posts he was one of the main one doing the bashing and starting the threads. If it seemed like I was attacking you personally I wasnt. I just hate it when anyone bashes any Rocket player all the time. To me that is not a true fan for which I am die hard (Have you seen that commercial with the dude sitting on the couch and he talking to the T.V? That guy personifies me. My wife says they should have gotten me to do the commercial.) I mean it is ok to criticize some games, but give credit when it is due. I for one was a little skeptical of Jason Collier at first but now I am holding the reins on his bandwagon. Can't wait till he gets back. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
I'll have a bash... One good game and Mo is now a star. He had one good game, i'll give him that, now lets see it every night.. ------------------ In 1993-94 Mugsy Bogues averaged more boards for the season than Mo is this season!!
cato13, Lay off heypartner because he is a very lightweight Mo basher. Smeg, BobFinn* and others are heavy duty Mo bashers. I try my best to rank in the top 3 among Mo bashers on this BBS.
