1st Q is almost in the books with the game still tied 0-0 but man does the TB Defense look to be bringing their A-game tonight

Ya think Tampa is pissed? Super Bowl champs, having to open on the road, in Philly no less, who they beat in the NFC Championship Game last year...no respect?

    I predict
    TB 27
    Phil 10

This is the worst game in the history of the NFL.

...........followed closely by that TERRIBLE Giants vs. Ravens Super Bore where there were about 59 punts.....

I guess you're a guy who doesn't like games that involve good defenses.

I bet that Arizona vs. Detroit game was more to your liking yesterday...

This is smashmouth football at its best.

Yeah and its boring as hell too.......

Hell if you were watching Arizona / Detroit at least you saw some great offensive plays. This game freaking blows.......

Nobody wants to watch a defensive grudge match......

But... its becoming more and more obvious that these powerful defensive teams are the ones that are gonna win Superbowls.

The Ravens won it with all defense, no offense.

The Pats won it with primarily their defense, and some timely offense (but it was nowhere near being a great offense)

And, the Bucs won it with a similiar formula, and they probably will be right there this year again.

You have to remember... those 49ers and Cowboys teams also had great defenses that were just overshadowed by the offense. Now, teams realize that once you get a great defense, you don't need much else but a steady offense... and instantly you're in the playoffs.

Sure its not fun to watch, but if you want to have a winning football team, this is now the model to follow.

No, but somewhere in between would be nice. Like say....21-20. I love smashmouth football if I have a vested interest in one of the teams.

BTW, that Jurivicous catch was the most amazing catch I've ever seen.

TB defense is good, but NOT that good.

The Eagles played like panzies, and McNabb never ran...that is what makes him dangerous.

I blame Andy Reid, he called a terrible game against an undersized and speedy defense.

TB is good, but not shut out the Eagles good....

Titans are winning it this year anyway.

    I disagree DaDa......

While Philly did play poorly, TB's D is freaking sick. They were killing the O Line off the line on every snap and should have had a saftey and at least 4 more sacks. Brooks is all over the place and their secondary totally shutdown Philly's receivers tonight. The only plays McNabb made were screens and short yardage throws. I dont think I saw him once throw the ball long.

TB twice shut down Vick completely, and McNabb, though a good scrambler, is no Vick. Tampa has one of the all-time great D's, and they are out to prove it. With Carolina and a Vickless Atlanta upcoming, they could very well not allow a TD until week 5.

Tampa is a really, really good team...

but Philly is so one-dimensional it's sick. they have zero playmakers outside of McNabb...no one else you gameplan around at all. i think philly is OVER-RATED....OVER-RATED...

But the Rams won with offense. In the watered-down NFL, you are forced to decide between having a great defense or a great offense. Or you can have just an okay D and O. Being great at both is impossible now. Which means you really just have a bunch of average teams. Boring.

Who thinks next week's Cowboys Giants game is going to be another lop sided game? MNF has some bad games.

The Eagles showed no emotion. I was expecting to have them fired up similar to the way the Titans were the night before.

You got to love the Philly fans... first home game in the new stadium and the showered their teams with boo's.

I think the Eagles deserved it....

actually...if i remember right, the rams had a pretty solid defense that season...that subsequently fell apart the next season.

Why do thye hype of Parcell's so much? I can't stand that ESPN commercial... "Thats a whale of a job..." LAME!!!

Why is Dallas vs NYG even a MNF game?

Second straight year Texans are 1-0 and Dallas is 0-1. I love it!
