Are you talking Colts or Vikings? Really, dude, there's no need to pour salt on an closing wound. I'm looking to brag about the Steelers' win tomorrow to a coworker who is a foreskins' fan.
/salt Honestly, I didn't expect the Steeler's D to manhandle the Skins so thoroughly. I thought that it would end up a close game, and there is no way in hell I trust a backup in a tight game on the road on Monday. That being said, Leftwich played better than Roethlisberger has most of the season.
You should wear that signature like a badge of honor. The cowboys may be down and have a tough road ahead but it's no time to give up hope. I was surprised to see the skins get rolled the way they did but I'm glad it happened. The NFL is so hard to predict this season with teams playing great one week and like crap the next.
Those Roy William draft picks have had a serious jump in value. (Not that the cowgirls can't manage to make playoffs/superbowl, but it is certainly looking less certain than at the time of the trade.)
i had completely forgot about leftwich. talk about falling from grace. Was the injury that bad or do i just remember him being better than he really was before the injury?
I hate when a team wears all solid dark colored uniforms. That's for high schools and college. They are one of the five NFL teams that primarily wear their white jerseys at home (the others being the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, the New Orleans Saints, and the Miami Dolphins). The tradition of wearing white jerseys at home was started by Joe Gibbs when he took over as coach in 1981. Gibbs was an assistant for the San Diego Chargers in 1979 and 1980, and the Chargers wore white at home during the tenure of coach Don Coryell in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their burgundy jersey (which is primarily used for when the opposing team decides to wear white at home, which comes mostly against the Dallas Cowboys and occasionally the Philadelphia Eagles) consists of burgundy jerseys and white pants. From 1981 through 2000, the Redskins wore their white uniforms at home. In 2001, however, the Redskins wore burgundy for all home games in preseason and regular season per a decision by Marty Schottenheimer, their coach for that year. In 2004, Joe Gibbs became the coach of the Redskins once again. The team switched back to wearing white at home.
Wow. Nice post. I always wondered about these things... there's gotta be a study about what happens to teams wearing either the ALL WHITE/LIGHT versus the ALL DARK/SOLID colors. Don't quarterbacks hate the dark colors? Can't see them in traffic! I agree. Isn't there some sort of NFL rule that says that home teams must wear their dark tops, light bottoms at home? I hate it when teams wear ALL WHITE. Luckily, our Texans don't do that much. Here are the ALL-WHITE teams I hate to see play: San Diego Indianapolis Denver Green Bay Chicago EDIT: I stand corrected. http://www.houstontexans.com/gameday/uniformcombinations.asp
One of the exec VPs here at work told me that there was a snippet on ESPN that in election years if the Redskins win, then the Republicans win. So thanks to the Steelers it now it looks like Obama will be the next president.
i think its like the the winner of the last redskins home game. if the skins win then its the gop if the skins lose its the dems i think the league purposefully put this game on MNF just before the election just glad my steelers got a huge road victory against a playoff-contender
