Time for another game between the Cowboys and Redskins, a rivalry that will be shown to everyone on Monday Night Football. Both teams have had some problems this year. The Cowboys got burned by the Vikings the 1st game but played a little better in the win over Cleveland, despite numerous turnovers and penalties. The Redskins opened up the season with a win, yet they turned the ball over like crazy against the Giants and ended up losing the game. So both teams need to show whether or not they are for real or not. Personally, I think the Redskins are overrated big time, although my opinion may change a bit after tonight. (although I think that I will still consider them overrated anyways) The story of the Cowboys has been stupid mistakes. They lead the league in penalty yards and are second in penalties. They also have 6 TO's in two games. You don't even want to factor in blown coverages and other mental errors. Hopefully, this is all way above average for the team and they'll start to fix that, hopefully starting tonight. One positive is the Cowboys offense, at least from a yards perspective. I don't know whether Vinny and the rest of the team could keep up this production throughtout the season, but it is a big improvement from last year, although, again, we need to score off this production. (lead the league in yds yet you only score 34 points in 2 games?) We'll see how they perform against the Redskin defense. I don't have much more to say, so I'll just leave it at that. I just want the game to get started...or should I say that I want the game to be won by the Cowboys...or both...or something. The Cowboys are something like 13-1 against the Redskins lately, and they need to keep the streak going.
MNF is in HD, right? I just got my HD DVR box from Time Warner, and after watching HD football all weekend, I just can't bring myself to watch normal crappy sports again in "standard" definition.
Got the Carta Blanca in the freezer and I got the grill ready! Oh I love this time of year! My name is esse and I'm a Cowboy fan! Oh and thank goodness for Fantasy Football. I makes us Cowboy fans on Houston websites not feel so lonely!
HD has its downside too. John Madden is downright circus-clown freaky looking. I don't know how Al Michaels does it.
I'm up by 20 with my opponent having George, Glenn and Gardner. Who the hell do I root for? Oh, and I forgot to replace my kicker this week, who is on a bye. If I win without my kicker, I will forever talk trash to this guy!
Tonight I have decided to take a drink every time they zoom in on Bill Parcells. Pretty soon I will be: HAMMERED
Well, we just got a gift! I think that started out being offensive pass interference and it got called for defensive pass interference because of the more blatant hookdown.
well yeah that was a lucky first 7 points , I'll admit it. I thought it was offensive all the way, or no call at all. Anyhow Soooooo, whats the score? 7-0, Cowboys
Well, I don't remember us having one of those crappy pass interference called for us yet, so we were overdue...even if it was more questionable that other crappy calls on the interference calls.
This is awesome. Half of this thread is people pulling for certain players in fantasy games! Hey, I'm in the same boat. I'm up by 40 with Portis starting for me, and my opponent has Coles, Vinny, Glenn and Witten. Errr...go Portis??
This is a terrible game if you ask me. The cowboys are playing like cowcrap. They deserve to lose if this is all they have to offer. Edit: Well...at least the dumbass Redskins can't score 1st and goal from the 1 yard line. I guess that is thanks to our "D" or their bad playcalling. We still need to pick up our play.
