Heard this on the game tonight... not from who some of you might guess.

"I have a Brett Favre stat for you... concerning his streak of starts... he started the streak in the early '90's in '92.

"Sarah Palin was running for her first term on the Wasilla city council, while Barack Obama was organizing a 'get out the vote' campaign in his commnunity.

"A little bipartisan perspective for you."

Let's see - running for city council and winning amongst 5,000 people. that's pretty impressive.

Registering 150,000 new voters. Very impressive. Obama had a staff of 70 people or more under him. Palin? Zero.

^And yet she won all by her wee little self, moved on to mayor, then eventually on to Governor and currently has an $11b annual budget (from which gives money back to her state's constituents), and 29,000 employees.

So... what has Obama Governed again? Which town, which state? What executive experience? What branch of military or leadership of such has he served in? What capacity?

    Thought so.

BTW- It was intended as an indicator that Palin vs. Obama is the debate in the conscious of the US populous.

Obama cannot match up head-to-head even with the GOP's veep nom, and neither can Biden.

It's the debate repubs like yourself keep bringing up. but it's a one-sided one.

being city council doesn't mean much in a small town. she ran in a town of 5,000. I could get to be on city council in a town that size - heck, nearly anyone who wanted to could do it. It's not hard. You probably could have them add a council member.

And Palin didn't manage 29,000 people. Heck no, she didn't do much expect draw expenses while hanging out at home raising 5 kids, moose hunting, and flying around with her family.

She's a terrible governer, and was a terrible mayor.

Obama freaking got an education with no one's help. he wasn't born into money. he didn't win a beauty pagent. He went to harvard on his own merit and own sweat. He was an influencial state senator, and he has been an influential senator.

You can't even begin to compare the two. Just look at what they have done in this campaign. Obama has organized the greatest grassroots campaign in American history.

What has Palin done? run from interviewers and a few stump speeches?

My lord. Please don't even try to convince anyone here but yourself. You can be impressed, and that's fantastic, but any educated person can clearly see who is more capable to lead.

You know, in 1985, LeBron James and I were both sucking on bottles. By your logic, that must mean that everything each of us has done since is exactly the same, huh?

I swear, people get so crazy during election season. How about this for a concept -- there's no indicator, no conspiracy, or no debate intended by that comment. It was just a pop culture reference made in a joking manner to highlight Brett Favre's experience. It's pretty absurd to take it to mean any more than that, in either direction.

Brett Favre shoulda stayed retired. Hope he and the Jets suck it up all year. Actually I hope he goes down with an injury after his team goes 1-6, and the back up wills them back into the playoffs and all he becomes is a cheerleader like he should have been in Green Bay.

just get over it. palin sucks. she has done her job by electrifying the base but the woman simply is not fit to be president. also....this dumb executive experience line is driving me crazy. where is mccain's exec experience? don't talk about his military record when discussing his exec experience either. list his executive positions.

That's your opinion. 80% of the people of Alaska disagree.

    Really now?

Doesn't sound like she was born into money.
