Just finished playing like 5 hours of ball. I'm all dehydrated and like 5 lbs lighter. So what's the first thing I do when I get home? Get some greasy cheap tacos from Jack in the box. Bring on the cholesterol bebe. Not to mention half a big red. And a bottle of water. Anyone else enjoying some greasy goodness right now? Outlaw need not reply.
You call yourself a fast food afficionado? taco and bean burrito from Taco Bell for 98 cents and an X-Large Mountain Dew Code Red...The only way to go...
Man I ain't no afficiando. I'm still pissed at Taco Bell right now. The one close to me cancelled my fav item on the menu: the chili cheese burrito. beeyatches. Never tried the code red. Is it like Red flash or Big Red or something completely diff? I'm not really a huge soda guy tho. Choke up them arteries. I was thinking of getting a shake but ... I'm lazy and ... I don't want to feel too guilty in the morning Mebbe this weekend.
Code Red kicks ass...It's basically cherry flavored Moutain Dew, which is weird because it has orange juice in it... best taco bell item is the steak quesadilla...expensive (even by taco bell standards), but damn good...
I'm a huge Mountain Dew fan, and was a border line addict for a while, but I never really much liked the Code Red. To me, it didn't taste any different than any other Cherry flavored soda.
I, too, have fallen under the spell of the two tacos for $.99 at Jack in the Crack. I had them for the first time on Saturday, and I've already been back for more since then.
I've become a fan of them as well, unfortunately. The "hot sauce" that comes with them is pretty good too . . . not so spicy, but a good tangy taste. Burger King's 2 Tacos are good as well.
If you like the tacos at JITB, get the monster tacos. Also, try Cherry 7-Up. It's not MDCR, but I like it as well.
Oh, no! Haven't been there in a while (going to Chipotle; more expensive but less greasy). That was my favorite item also. What were they thinking?!? First the bacon cheeseburger burrito (OK, that was a long time ago, but terrible for you and very yummy) and now this... I liked Taco He!! better when they didn't rely so much on "combos" like other restaurants and you could just pick what you wanted off the 59, 79, and 99 cent menus. The good old days... (and I can see why you call yourself CriscoKidd... )
I've never heard anybody who didn't like Taco Bell call it "Jack in the Crack." What a term of endearment...
I second that. I remember when Taco bell had 69 cent (maybe 79) tacos for 10 for 6.99 (maybe 7.99). I always had to explain I wanted 10 individual tacos and wanted to be charged for ten individual tacos. Cheap, yes I am.
crisco. yes i was mad as well. they canelled frito burrito and chili cheese burrito. sai dthey stopped making items with chili
Personally, I loved when they had those 39 cent Taco Bell tacos . . . I'd go and pick a couple up and be set for a dollar Great!! Right now, I like the "Cheesy Gordita Crunch" from TB -- my favorite fast food item ever.
Smokes - the monster taco eh? Is it worth the $1.49. One of the reasons I like the lil uns is because of the cheap-ness and filling-ness of em. All this cherry soda talk is making me want to try some of that stuff. I have never had cherry coke, Code Red or the cherry 7. Now that I'm not addicted to coca cola like I used to be I can "expand my horizons" Is-a-bell : I hear ya. I used to have my order set whenever I walked into Taco hell. 2 chili-cheese burritos and two supreme tacos. Oh, and I would share my wife's coke(or buy a small if I was alone ). Last time I walked in I was so bewildered cuz they took away my set order. I just picked some random "combo" And yeah, I used to wolf down a lot of bad things every day. If it wasn't for basketball I would be a mountain of a man. Now I still eat "bad" things, just not a lot of them. RFan and et al - It's cool to know I'm not the only one grieving for my chili-cheese burritos
Sonic has brought out its own JITB ripoff tacos. I had some tonight. The sauce was pretty good -- taco wasn't bad -- good cheese on it, but it wasn't quite as good as the JITB . . .
