I'm glad they're sticking with the same color scheme... those colors are killer and I would have hated them adopting some kind of red/blue/white theme like the Texans, Rockets and Comets. I'm also gad they're keeping it traditional as Mustangs and Apollos would have offended me because they're such terrible choices.
I'd probably buy an FC Houston shirt or hat, just for the name alone. I probably wouldn't buy any Apollos merchandise.
Ahh... As for the name, it sounds like it's either going to be Dynamo Houston (the article forgot to mention the former pro team in Houston called the Dynamos), FC Houston, or Apollos FC. I like the color scheme and I'm glad they're keeping it.
Are we going to have a problem now that the team's name is Dynamos that it relates to closely with Dynamite which leads to terrorism and fighting and war fare so the team will end up having it's name changed again Hey we could turn into the Washington Bullets of the MLS. We're to violet and desructive a name to be allowed.... Still can't believe we had a name change.
There's a poster on bigsoccer.com who is friends with a sponser that also confirms that name. Also, Not Doug Loan hints towards it and the fact that it's being announced at Weiss Energy Hall. Personally, any name they use is second rate to what they already had.
i'll get used to just about anything. except the rockets blue colors and that stupid logo. but i really liked the 1836 thing.
It'll be the Texas Apollos. They don't want HOUSTON in the name because he killed many Mexican forefathers, just like 1836 didn't work.
