FC Dallas lost. Eat that CM sandwich you dumb south Oklahomans.

You know how they lost? They lost on a own goal. Good thing this is not Colombia or they would be shot. Good thing is North America's soccer league because no one gives a ****.

DALLAS YOU LOSE! YOU GET NOTHING! GOOD DAY SIR.

Glad to see Colorado win and Dallas lose in such humiliating fashion.

On another note, I wish MLS would do away with the neutral site for MLS Cup and perhaps have it be a game against the two top teams. Toronto in November was a terrible choice, even though it's an obvious nod to the support that Toronto FC has gotten, despite never making the playoffs.

Something, anything, but Colorado and Dallas were not the two best teams this year. Neither was San Jose, who got close. All a team has to do is catch fire for two games and boom, they're in the MLS Cup Final.

it was a tough physical game and was fun to watch...I wasn't really pulling for anyone, but Toronto in November? Seriously?

Personally, I like the game being at a neutral location. They just need to do a better job of picking that location. If they do switch to a non-neutral site I hope they make it a two game series, but that's unlikely.

They should make it a HOME-and-AWAY series so both fan locations get a shot at "being at the final series", like the NBA, baseball, and hockey do.

Last I checked, the final for almost every major tournament is played at a neutral site. Everyone wants the MLS to be more like the Euro leagues. Why change this?

^ you mean POINTS determine the champion?

Which major tournaments are you referring?

The Mexican League finals uses a 2-game home/away series and I agree a 2-game series makes more revenue than a 1-game winner-take-all and should avoid a possible overtime/shootout situation.

Pretty much every country has a cup competitions (FA Cup, King's Cup, etc.) which often have their final at a neutral site, along with tournaments like Champion's League, as well as international tournaments. There are exceptions like Libretadores that use home/away even for the final though.

 No, those are "interleague" and tournament final games with winners from different countries...

The regular leagues (Argentina, Spain, England, Italy, etc.) only have points determine a champion... I think?

Yes your are right but in this case MLS is trying to find a middle ground. Since points don't determine the champ and they have to do playoffs, I see no problem with the league using a neutral site for a one-off final match, akin to the NFL with the Super Bowl. The MLS is trying to find a middle ground between being like all the other leagues/euro leagues and doing its own thing. I got no problem with it.
My only beef is the playoff format and it looks like that will change next year. No more idiocy like having two Western conference teams compete in the Eastern conference finals. Ridiculousness.

Colorado and Dallas were among the best teams in MLS this year. The Western conference had better teams than the East this season and thats why a team like Colorado finished 5th in the West when if they were in the East they'd be 3rd.
Dallas were a good team from start to finish. They were quite consistent and didn't need to go on a roll for two games and make the MLS Cup final, they were a solid team from day one as their unbeaten streak showed.
Now if San Jose made the final then you'd have a good point, and your point is even more salient if one considers the 2008 season in which New York came out of nowhere to get to the Finals. Since that's not an every year occurence, I don't have a problem with it.
