My wife got it off, but I am at work. If you think the TV is bad now wait until the Rockets come on at 1.
Funny; the office is closed to the public (we're an employment agency) but we have what might be called an in-service day. So I'm "working".
I'm not off. I wish I were. I don't think this holiday is fair where some people get off and some people don't. It should be an all or nothing holiday. Is this MLK Jr.'s legacy...a segregated holiday?
I agree with the holidays. Either we all are off, or no one. Seems like there are "Bank Holidays" ever month.
I'm at work, and so is my wife. We had some friends over last night, and they stayed until around 11:30 at night playing games. Around that time, they suggested starting another game, at which point my wife put her foot down and said she had to get some sleep. It turns out they had no idea that anyone worked on MLK day.
I am at work, of course. MLK day is just like Presidents Day, Veterans Day, and Columbus Day. It is a cheesy holiday because so many people have to work EXCEPT the US POSTAL SERVICE! Too bad that companies don't use the rule of thumb (my rule of thumb, that is) that if you don't get mail that day, that you should be off from work.
Yes but at least there are sometimes interesting interviews and commentary on CNBC. That beats watching another episode of Moral Court or Texas Justice. Right before New Year's I sat through an episode of Moral Court in which a 14 year old boy took his mother on the show to protest the fact that she doesn't allow him to go out enough. Now that was horrible tv.
