Ok call me crazy but at the top of my wish list for the MLE is....get this..... GRANT HILL!! great floor general, can create his own shot, fills alot of holes in my opinion, obviously there are injury concerns as well as age concerns but I think grant hill for 2 years would be an awesome move. But honestly im not too sure who else may be available for MLE money, whos on your wish list?
I've been saying it for awhile, and I'm going to say it again. even though I feel like there may be less chance of it happening after our leet first round exit but anyway... vince carter opts out of his last year and signs with the rockets for the MLE.
oh also, travis outlaw would be a nice alternative, if you can get him to hit the boards. he can definitely hit the outside shot.
While true that Hill has a poor injury history, he'd be a steal for the vet minimum. IMHO, Hill would be much less injury prone coming off of Houston's bench. The problem in ORL is that they are trying to use him 30+mpg (he averaged 35 mpg in the recent playoffs).
Hill and mac are pretty much indenticale players now. with mac being a better passer and scorer. we dont really have any use for him unless you plan to use battier as a 4. what we need is a PG ( Francis) and a atheletic 4.
I see posts like this far too often on here. People get caught up in what number position a player plays......meanwhile team's like Golden State put interchangeable pieces on the floor and it works flawlessly as they switch every screen. Having Grant Hill, Tmac and Battier on the floor at the same time is NOT a problem..... DD
Good call. Interesting vision. I think this BBS is just permanently blinded by the shackles JVG had on this team. Hell, I know his pessimism grew on me like a cancer.

I would love to have Hill...Imagine having him come off the bench instead of an undersized SG like Head! He would be our answer to Stackhouse, Ginobli, and Barbosa...He may not be as fast as some of those guys, but he has his strengths which the others wouldn’t be able to handle.
nah pass on Hill. Did you guys watch the Detroit series? the guy was ineffective, slow, couldnt finish, and wasn't making great decisions. His range is also limited, from what I saw, he's not a very good 3 pt shooter. Besides, dont you think we have too many nice guys on this team?
grant hill would be nice for the vet min. not the mle. I wouldnt be surprised to see grant go somewhere that he likes for the cheap. the true wish is bibby...but thats a big wish. mo williams is more likely.
If you really are interested in Grant Hill, you should pay attention to the news coming out of Magic camp. However if you pay attention to the new coming out Magic camp, you will know that Grant Hill will stick with Magic to repay their loyalty to him during his long stretch of injuries.
I see you're point. for the MLE i perfer to use it on a PG and a atheletic 4. i still feel that lineup will still be to one dimensional for my liking.
