If the season wasn't over for the Astros in terms of the playoffs, this would end it. The team the Astros always had to catch was the Brewers -- and this would completely put that out of reach, if it wasn't already. The Cubs are far, far too good.
This makes the Brewers a lot better. Granted, Sabathia is a little overrated in that he's never won 20 games but his ERA has always been solid. He's a very good starter and makes any team sweat at the notion of facing Sheets/Parra/Sabathia on any given trip. Even though they're in the same division as my eternally helpless Pirates I don't mind seeing them do well. They've built their team and gotten to where they are the right way. I only hope the Buccos can follow that model.
Haha, well at least the Reds have "stars" and are willing to spend as much money on them as the Brewers are. Ask a baseball fan outside of Pittsburgh who the Pirates' best players are. Ask them if they've ever heard of Xavier Nady, Jason Bay or Nate McClouth.
meh...we need to get rid of everyone...keep volquez, cueto, bruce, votto, encarnarcion. about it...unload everyone else for spects edit: also, i think we should trade patterson for baseballs, ross for some bats, and weathers for some gloves...all of em..especially patterson need to gtfo
