Ok I'm thinking aobut purchasing this to watch Yankee games since Dish does not carry YES. Problem is I live in NYC which is subject to lcal restrictions on Mets and Yankee games.

I have a friend in Virginia whose address I can use, but I'm not sure if MLB.TV woudl detect that I'm logging in from NY and block the game anyway.

    Anyone with MLB.TV know?

I haven't been able to try what you're talking about specifically. But I'm fairly certain I've read things on their site last year and this year that the blackout restrictions are only based on billing zip code and nothing else..

Blackouts are actually based on IP not billing zip code.

You can use proxy servers to hide your location.

That's the way it used to be, but I'm not sure about this year. On the Astros' opening night, I was blacked out for the 'Stros, even though I'm in Missouri... only possible explanation is that my billing zip code is in Texas. I ended up getting it fixed, but at least initially, they blacked me out by billing address.
