they have nowhere to go. San Antonio wants them but they don't have a stadium and there is nowhere to play in the area while one is being built. Besides, there is too much money in Miami to leave.
If they don't get a new ballpark, they're gone. Doesn't matter how much money is in Miami if there aren't luxury boxes and a new stadium deal.
If it isn't the Fins or the Canes, nobody in Miami cares. More than any other city, Miami deserves to lose their baseball franchise because of apathy. After Shaq retires and if Wade leaves, the Heat might be in a similar position.
Not to mention the Astros and Rangers would fight that tooth and nail, regardless of what they say publicly. I would hate it, too. That would mean no more Astros games on tv in Austin. We'd be stuck in the SA Marlins territory.
agreed. They are hell set on making it work and getting a new stadium. THey have been trying for the last 10 years. Not sure how long till they give up.
i doubt seriously it will be SA. but they will end up somewhere that will offer them a sweetheart deal at a new ballpark if Florida won't. and the Florida legislature has said repeatedly they won't.
not just the 'stros... since they've been in existence, they have: 2 more than the cubs 1 more than the red sox 2 more than the dodgers 2 more than the giants that's just silly!
