For everyone without NBA League Pass, here's your first chance to see MJ playing live. It's starting right now on TNT vs Nets. That game is followed by Lakers and Kings...
pretty good for an old man... 41 points on 15-24 shooting! still lost though, probably see a lot of that this year without any support.
Just got back from the Wizards game. It was pretty exciting, even with the loss. I think with Hamilton playing, the Wizards win that game. Alexander was extremely disappointing tonight. I also thought the starting lineup was a little messed up. Hopefully by the time the season starts its: PG: Lue SG: Hamilton SF: Jordan PF: Brown or Thomas C: Jahidi White with Alexander as the sixth man. I really don't think the Wizards making the playoffs is that far out of the question. I mean when you have major sports magazine saying the Atlanta Hawks will finish sixth in the eastern conference, I think final 3 playoffs spots in the east are up for grabs.
is lue the wizards starting PG?? man.. hes a backup at best, he had one good series against iverson and he lands a starting job, unbelievable
No, he's not the starting PG right now. I don't think they have any idea who will be in the starting lineup. If he plays like he did in the playoffs last season, that's not much worse than BJ Armstrong or Ron Harper, don't you think? Anyways, you can say the same thing about Kenny Thomas and Kelvin Cato being starters. The Rockets just don't have any other options in the frontcourt, just like the wizards don't have too many options at PG.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the Wizards will even make the playoffs this season. Just pointing out that Jordan didn't need much help at Point Guard with the Bulls, except for some three-point shooting. And as for Rodman, didn't he only play in two of the Bulls championships? Big deal. I'm sure the Bulls would have won with or without Rodman. And of course Hamilton is no Pippen. He doesn't have the all-around game like Scottie. But I do think he could be just as good of a scorer. And as for comparing Brown to Rodman. I would have no idea how to even go about doing that.
Rodman was the leading rebounder on that team(And was either 1st or 2nd in the league) those years. The Bulls would have had a hell of a time without Rodman, as he was the only defender able to guard Malone. I only mentioned Brown and Rodman because they were/are both the best big men on the two teams. Unless you consider White or Laettner better at this point.
Whats up with K.Brown ? Is there any chance this guy can work his way into the starting lineup yet ? His line from that game looks pretty pathetic 1 freakin rebound in 19 min
He will be 20 in march. According to "Sporting News" he has a legitimate chance at becoming the starter.
I've seen the Wizards play three times this season, and Kwame doesn't look comfortable at all yet. You can tell he has a lot of quickness for his size, but he's almost spastic in the way he moves (kinda like Cuttino, but in a bad way). To me he looks out of control and clumsy when he tries to go to the basket. He admitted he felt "lost" in the Wizards first preseason game. But he doesn't seem afraid to take an 15 foot jumper, so he must at least think he has that kind of range. I think he'll start the season off the bench and will have to prove himself to make it in the starting lineup.
What's the deal with Jahidi White. Why didnt he get in the game much yesterday? Also, he kinda reminds me of Kevin Duckworth, just not even nearly as big or as good.
...but it sure is taking him a longer time to get up there. For Washington's sake, let's hope he doesn't try to dunk in the final seconds to win a game. University (Time Flies) Blue
