MJ's going to have arthroscopic knee surgery this week and go on the IL. The team lists his status as uncertain for the remainder of the season, but knowing MJ - he'll either be back in 5 games or be out for the rest of the season.

He's done for the year. Too early to tell for next year, but I'm betting he gives it another shot.

I think if he misses the rest of the season, he won't be back.
DCKid might have a better feel for this...but I didn't really get the feeling that he was enjoying himself.

Well, he definitely wasn't enjoying himself at the beginning of the season when the Wizards were losing so much. But I think their turnaround really breathed new life into MJ. However, I'm sure he gets frustrated when he can't do some of things he used to be able to do.

The Wizards should have really tried to push harder for some trades this season while the team was at its highest point. I mean what do they think is going to happen when Michael leaves? I think with playing time Courtney could be a great player in the league, but they'll have to move him to SF if they want to keep him because Hamilton pretty much has the SG-spot locked up. Haywood and White are good centers but with no offensive game. It'll be back to the cellar for the Wizards if MJ doesn't come back from the injury.

And this all goes back to the frickin #1 pick in the draft. How can a #1 draft pick not even contribute one iota? This could go down as one of the worst #1 draft picks of all time. I'm not saying Kwame won't eventually be a good player, but he is obviously not #1 Draft Pick material. What a shame.

I think Michael comes back, there is no way his competitive nature will let him go out like this. They were playing fairly well before the All Star game and Mike seemed to be having fun. I do not understand the Brown situation, you know they had to do their homework on this kid before drafting him and yet he seems to have buckled under the limelight and the pressure. I would think knowing that Mike was playing this year they would have drafted a player who would be able to contribute right away.

i've actually gotten really tired of watching the wizards day in and day out...maybe now that they aren't going to make the playoffs, i don't have to hear about them anymore come playoff time!
