Your probably right about follow up stories. Unfortunately for those who will want to rake her over the coals for this as well they will run into the problem that this is wikipedia and anyone with a computer can create or alter those pages at will. For all we know this could have just been an entry by a random person looking to add to the page that didn't research well.
You are one of our top experts on new lows so I'm almost inclined to listen to you. Did you know that that Wikipedia entry was edited hours before Palin's name was announced -- by a new user, who never posted before or after, named after her newborn baby -- in order to make it more favorable to her?

Interesting that this has been in countless stories about Palin and neither she nor the McCain campaign has even suggested that it was not true. Just google "Palin" + "Miss Congeniality." Like I said, this is the kind of story the press loves.
Has she been asked anything on this topic yet? I mean lets face it when your child is being attacked as a parent you sorta get tunnel vision on that situation. Right now I don't think this would be a high priority to address even if they have been aware about it. Which at this point we don't know if they are or not.
It's not just her child. She has at least five more urgent scandals than Miss Congeniality-gate to deal with first. And after that she has to figure out what her opinion on Iraq is!

Other the other, rimrocker, glynch, and rocketsanalyst who can throw the most monkey poop must be the winner right? How many more Obama smear or Palin smear threads are we going to see this week? I agree she has more pressing issues. Not so much as the quantity to which you state or there severity within. But I agree nonetheless. As far as these "scandals" are concerned all except the current legal situation she is involved in within her own state has legs. The only real threat to her is that one. That said Batman can I ask you a question or two or three? Why participate and harp on all these stories about Palin? I mean did you not learn your lesson in 2004? As I have said before you had that election in the bag. It was already gift wrapped and delivered to your doorstep. But instead you screwed the pooch. From the outset of that year republicans where attacked from basically every direction. In that year the word "NeoCon" essentially became a political cuss word and a general blanket statement and a reference of shame for every republican in the United States whether they were an extreme evangelical christian or just your average republican or moderate. From the beginning to the end of the of the 04 election every time you turned on the tv or read the newspaper (or the radio for some parts of the country) the basic theme were these types of stories and the general reference that "neocons" were the most hated scourge of the world. It was even worse on the internet. Basically any news website and there where the insults and degradation. Message boards well those were the happy hunting grounds to senselessly annihilate anyone with a conservative opinion. I mean you even implied a message with that kinda tone and you would get attacked by ten to fifteen people. I mean the best way to impassion a political base is to the incite anger and rage with in them and boy did your party do a first rate job. To the point that you succeeded in motivating the largest republican turnout that beat the largest democratic turnout in US history. All your efforts completely backfired that year and you lost what should have been the most easily winnable election ever. Now 06 rolls around. This time your party is realitively quite on all the rhetoric that cost you the last election and you decimate the republican party in that election with ease. And here we are in 08 now and low and behold the same tactics that were embraced in 04 that lost you the election are being used in full force once again and I have to ask why especially since you found the correct formula to win in 06. Why engage in the failed tactics and hype all these "scandals" when 6 out of the last 8 years of history proved that it has done nothing more than impassion your adversaries to monumental and titanic proportions and be completely detrimental to your efforts in the long run. Why engage in the failed tactics when this election is at a dead heat with three months to go. I means lets be real it really hasn't been a great year for the Dems. You made a mockery of your primaries when you proved that when the shoe is on the other foot every vote doesn't count and in turn pissed off a couple of states, and irritated and angered a large group of women. And now the same rhetoric of 04 has started in full force once again. The finish line is in view now. The race is easily winnable. Yet here you are again hyping partisan stories, and pouring gasoline on a beast that outdid you last time. Its the same poking and prodding and aggravation that motivated the republicans in 04 all over again. Why wake a sleeping giant that can beat you win you can win easily with same silence, self control, and patience you displayed in 06? What can be gained from all of this when these tactics proved to be nothing more than your downfall in the past? This election is yours. It's been perfectly gift wrapped once again. Why would you even want to tempt fate once more like last time? Maybe you can make me understand because I surely don't understand why this self destructive tact is being taken once again especially since your goal is to win this election.
there is no one close to being tj, but some of the threads being started of late are very much in the spirt of tj. you guys are devolving man to his level...not completely there yet, but look at some of these threads being started. who the heck cares if Palin was miss congeniality for god's sake????
