    Jason Williams or Jay Williams?

During the entire college basketball season, it was "Jason Williams", and now everyone is calling him Jay Williams...So...

Has "Jay" been his real name all along?

Is his real name still "Jason", but wants to be called "Jay" so not to be confused with Memphis PG Jason Williams (If I were a PG, I wouldn't want to be confused with White Chocolate, either)

Did he officially change his name to "Jay", so as not to have his name associated with the movie Jason X?

He changed his name recently to back away from the Jason Williams that killed his friend up East. He wants to distance himself from any comparisons to that situation, or I guess others like white chocolate.

I believe that he has been known back home as "Jay." He only became Jason on arrival at Duke. So there are a couple of good reasons to switch back.
