My wife and I are trying to find a female mini schnauzer puppy. Does anybody know any breeders that they would like to recommend?

I've been spending hours and days looking for what we want, and we are at the point of being willing to drive for hours just to pick one up.

    HELP! :D

They are some cute dogs. They bark too much, but I still love ours.

My family had a female mini schnauzer when I was growing up. Great dog! She was great with kids, didn't bark much and could live happily indoors or out.

Never understood the appeal of the Schnauzer. Bark a lot, seem very unsocial, overprotective even when the owners introduce new people.

At least that is my limited experience with them.

If you're willing to drive an hour north of Springfield, MO, I know a lady.

They're very loyal, they don't shed, train quickly and they're very lovable.

Cons- High maintenance grooming wise, LOVE to yap/bark, not very sociable with people they're not familiar with, very territorial when confronted with others animals, most have allergies and minor asthma.

In total my rather large family has around 10 of these dogs. I had to put mine down in 2002 due to Diabetes, but my parents own a mini and she's a friggin' awesome dog. Here's a pic after she was done rollin' in the mud/snow. Her beard is usually fluffy and bright white.
