MING's fans. come on! Ming's game video!

Question:


How do I save it to my hd.

When I enter the link directly into a my browser, it directly opens Windows Media Player. Never gives me the option to save. And since my connection isn't fast enough (or server too far) to buffer enough, it stops every few seconds (unwatchable).

Dude--Is there a way to download that? It was extremely choppy.

Thanks Flybomb. Just watched and I must say, the games are much more fast paced than I had imagined. I guess its a pace between college and NBA. The guys are amazing at shooting jumpers. They hit all their open 20 footers. Pretty impressive.

fyi, if you grab the videos with streambox and you can't fast forward or rewind the video, try playing the video with the older version of media player.

start menu > run > mplayer2

 

Man, after watching the last video. Either Yao Ming was really tired or he just didn't care. Yao ming didn't even hustle down the court, he walked! Also, whenever Yao ming got fouled, it seemed like he's fragile as a house made of hay...he acted like the foul was a karate chop or something. I hope this isn't the Yao Ming that is gonna to be on rockets else you guys will be dissappointed.

PS, I like Yao...this is just my 2 cents

 

The Yao video I saw he contorted his body for a couple of nice putbacks, did a spin move on some guy followed by a reverse dunk, and did an overhead-backwards no-look pass to a teammated under the basket after he chased down a rebound. Oh, and that was the first seven minutes of the game before the network connection failed.

I hope this is the Yao Ming that is going to be on the rockets, because you guys will NOT be disappointed.

QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO WATCHED THE FILM:

This is the first time that i watched a Chinese Pro game in its entirity and I was pleasantly suprised by the skill level of these players. Yao's comp actually looked pretty decent. They seem like they would be able to beat Division 2 type college teams and even many Division 1 teams. None of the top 25 but some of the other teams. The game was pretty fast paced, the players passed the ball well, fundamentally sound and they were amazing at outside shots. Thoughts?

 

agree with you mr basketball. and acutally I believe the national china team has played against UCLA before . forgot the outcome tho.. but it was some what close

 

I watched all 3 games and I have to say that Ming scored most of his points in the paint either on lay-ups or dunks. Most of these were also with him being in the post as well. People always talk about his lack of post game but its not evident in this footage. Albeit, he has much to go but he definitely showed enormous potential with his drop step dunk move, hook shot, and he even backed someone in there for a 2 foot turnaround. Cant wait till Nov.

Also, China played against the USA college all stars (or so they call it) it had Juan Dixon, Lonny Baxter I dunno about anybody else. And China beat them by one point. So I guess the comp is decent.

 

I think the first game is that 21/21 game of Ming if it's the first round of finals.

 

i watched the first game(21/21) and the last...

several comments..

MING does seem to lag getting back defensively...i remember on
two occassions, like ciper said...he walked back defensively...

on a positive note..he seems to have a really nice soft touch
around the basket..and finishes very well..

he is not the defensive force/presence hakeem or griffin were
/are....seeing a couple guys shoot layups over him..i couldnt
help but think...dream or griffin would have gotten that..he
doesnt have a quick jump...

in the last game..he had flashes of good play, but seemed
lackidasical..i keep thinking to myself..he should be doing more...
if this is his M-O ...im thinking he will remind people alot of ralph..
he might end up with same stigma..since he is the tallest player..
people expect more..i was guilty of that with sampson..and
always unfairly compared to hakeem..i wonder if griffin will be
MINGs hakeem...but ill take another ralph on this team any
day..

as for the CBA competition...it was WNBA-esque...with all the
layups..given the lack of high flyers and propensity not to dunk..
