After the introductions of both team's starters, Francis and Mobley went to midcourt, introduced Ming. When he came out, they gave him his jersey with his full name on the back. Then the 3 posed for the photographers. It really did remind me of Clyde being introduced to Houston after he was traded to Houston.
Something else that I thought was cool. While jogging and listening to the game and just before they went to a break, I could hear the opening notes of Chance's Yao Ming Theme. I had to press the headphones to my ears and turned it up to make sure I was hearing it right. Then when they came back from break, I heard the chorus - Yao Ming, Yao Ming Yao Ming Yao Ming, Yao Ming, Yao Ming .... It had to be great for him to hear. And again, a special thanks to Chance!
I liked the intro too. It was cool having Franchise and Cat introducing Ming to the fans. Nice way to make him feel welcome. Different subject but isn't Mobley listed at 6'4 and Francis at 6'3? It looks the other way around in the pic.
