I tried to register for a bunch of military forums but they are making me wait for registration approval, so i will ask it here.

I recently took a ceramic german beer stein from my parents house over christmas. it was covered with dust and had dead flies in it. They did not use and i wanted it, so I took it back with me.

ANyway, I am trying to identify where it was from. My mom says she got it at some point from her sister who was living near Ramstein Air Force Base with some dude in Weisbaden, FRG, back in the late 60's or early 70's

It has a logo on it, the logo is a shield shape, with a diagonal slash running left (down) an to the right (up). The top left half is yellow. The bottom right half is black. On the bottom is a white eagle/falcon/hawk head silhouette. On the top left hand corner, against te yellow field, is a flying black eagle/falcon/hawk silhouette.

I will post a pic tomorrow since I can't find my camera and the batteries are dead anyway, but if anybody can identify this logo as something either USAF or Luftwaffe/german air force related I would be interested to know what it is.

    edit- here is the picture
