I'v seen the guy actually play a couple of times on tv, and the guy actually has several position that can fill in C/PF and has well balance game both on the offensive and defensive end. Mikki is only making a little over $1M for 2007 and unrestricted. Big question surrounding this guy is if he can come cheap, if Nets will let him go. Mikki might be the other alternative or the so called plan B. He looks pretty descent a 7'0 PF/C with 9.8 pts, 5.1 reb and .08 blocks. let me hear your input.

I'm a Nets fan second. Mikki Moore is good for two things and two things only: Energy and Offense.

You can scratch OFFENSE off that list if he joins the Rockets because the Rockets don't have Jason Kidd. (see Kenyon Martin)

He's a bad rebounder for his size, and he cannot defend. If he plays in the west, Duncan, Amare, KG, Boozer, etc. will abuse him. Jason Kidd turned him into a mediocre player.

No thanks to the fool's gold.

I agree wholeheartedly. Mikki Moore will also be 32 years old this season. He's 32 and his first decent year just happens to be when playing with Jason Kidd. Not a good sign.

Not to mention he's 31-years-old. Forgive me for not wanting to give him a 3-4 year deal after Jason Kidd quadrupled his value this year.

Damn we really need J-Kidd...Rafer Alston for J-Kidd...Why should Nets do it:

    - Rafer is younger
    - Rafer Alston is a "great" shooter especially from 3-point range
    - Rafer is quicker
    - Rafer has the ability to be the playmaker maybe better than Kidd :) :)

Come on Nets, you HAVE TO do that :D :D :D

Because of his energy I'd take him in a New York minute . Would be a better fit then Lewis

The Anorexic Predator is a possibility, but really not a great fit... his skill set kinda reminds me of Juwan's and Juwan (though a great teammate) was not a good fit with Yao.

Not to be rude, but Mikki Moore is a bigger p***y than Stro Swift was. Is that really the guy you want on our team? What happened with Swift? Is your memory really that short?

I was fairly impressed with Moore's midrange game, attitude, ability to run the floor and even defend the five at times, but I agree that it doesn't look like he can duplicate it in another environment. If he was coming off the bench and we had a regular starting four, then I could go for it, but not in this situation.

There are a lot of players who should give Kidd half of their overpaid salaries as a thanks for making them look 10x better than they really are.

Well, I agree that Kidd has made Moore a better player. But can't McGrady do the same also? Just see how well Tracy worked with Chuck Hayes last season on the offensive end, getting him those many open layups. Now imagine Mcgrady passing the ball to Moore and getting a monster dunk instead. Moore is already an upgrade over Hayes in terms of athleticism and shooting range, which will make a more fluid offense.

Of course, there are questions whether Moore can fit into the new regime of Adelman's complex offensive system, which gives McGrady fewer chances to be the playmaker.

Right on. As much as I love the Chuckster, I find it ironic that CF is complaining about PFs getting a boost from star playmakers.

nets are rumored to have offered 10 to 12 million over 3 or 4 years. IMO he'd be good gamble on a one year contract if there is no one else out there. Two year contract starting at 4.6M, a team option on the second.
