"The Magic will deny it, but they're shopping Mike Miller more than a little bit in order to try and move up into the top 10."

Could we swing a deal for a top ten and trade for him? I think he would fit in perfect.

Thats EXACTLY why we are trying to trade kenny + `5th to get rileys 10th and then ship `10th + whoever for Miller.Every one keeps saying Dunleavy is the next Bird.Miller is faster, better defense, same shot, jumps higher. And doesnt complain to refs nearly as much as Dunleavy.

If Miller was in the draft this year,he should go #2 behind Ming.I hope we get him, even though I like Odom and Lewis .I also found out on realgm that we are trying to get Tim Thomas(not sure if its true).Isnt Tim a cousin of Griffin.

You guys are giving Miller way too much credit. Hmmm, Mike Miller or Jay Williams, hmmmm?

we could probably get Miller for KT + the 15.

I'm not so sure Miller is such a significant upgrade from KT(at sf, yeah, but as a player, dunno) or even Nachbar tho.

Really? I've never heard about either, but I think Thomas would be a great fit. I doubt we could package enough to get him. They probably want like KT+MoT+15 or something ridiculous for him.

Miller is Lamar Odom with a three point shot and without the pot. He would fit in perfectly with this team. Maybe he's not quite as slick a passer as Lamar, but he can really handle the rock for a guy his size.

    KT + the 15?

So fast it would make your head swim.

    You rang? :)

The Magic think they can get more than KT and the 15 for Miller...in effect, they are trying to trade into the top 5-10 with him as the bait.

Andy Katz has a hot rumor as Miller + #18 for Stromile Swift and #4 - definately a coup for the Magic. If John Gabriel (the Magic's GM) can't get a deal like that, I imagine he'd keep Miller. After all, Grant Hill is still a question mark and keeping Miller allows the Magic to focus less on a point guard than on a post player.

I believe the Magic would have interesting in KT, especially due to his contract and style of play, but probably not for Miller. If they move up in the draft, it's likely into the mid lottery for Stoudemire or another big man. Otherwise, I imagine they'd stay put.

Can you put a link where they say that at realgm? I heard they were cousins as well, they do kind of look a like. Same body it seems, maybe same game too.

Where does Jay Williams even factor into the equation?

Mike Miller is what he is - a good shooting SG who has the potential to have a breakout season next year like Szczerbiak did this year, albeit without the chemistry problems. Struggled with injuries late this year but has the potential to be a 20ppg scorer in the league.

Agree, Miller isn't much better than KT as a player. But the thing is, KT needs isolation plays to set himself up for a basket. Miller just fits perfectly in Rudy's system, no isolation plays needed. Penetration from Francis and Mobley will force defenders to double team, thus freeing up Miller for a open 3-pointer.

If Rockets were offers Miller for KT and #15, I'd definite do the deal, it's a no-brainer.

Mike Miller is going to be the next Peja you can count on it. His shot is as sweet as they come and progressing amazingly. He is everything that the Rockets would hope to get with Nachbar if they decide to select him. My only question is if he is going to be injury prone.

Jay Williams factored into the equation when somebody said that Mike Miller would be the 2nd pick in this draft, no question.

shouldgetodom-"If Miller was in the draft this year,he should go #2 behind Ming."

    Still confused? Too bad.

The Magic want the #10 so they can pick a big man. They don't want KT and our 15.

"If Miller was in the draft this year,he should go #2 behind Ming." - that is someone's opinion and never said no question. But fine.

Miller's not that good, but he's not horrible either.

That's right, somebody's opinion, that's what my first post was, just my opinion.
