We are a serious shooter away from being an above average team. I want a shooter like mike miller. Will it happen, probably not but I dont mind thinking about it. (TMAC double teamed.. Mike miller for three... Yao Ming triple teamed to Mike Miller... three). Damn that sounds good.

if we got mike miller, considering we don't have to give up a lot, we would instantly become a championship contender.

dont need a shooter really. need a pg. mike miller aint no pg.

i think a player like Antonio Daniels would do wonders for this squad. He's a pass-first pg who can shoot. and he's agressive and can finish around tha rim.

I think he would make a HUGE difference. He is mainly a SG, right? How about TMac at the SF. With Scola or Landry in, that would be a lethal offensive lineup. For YEARS, I have wanted to see the Rockets punish double teams by draining outside shots. That would be sweet.

What are you guys smoking? We already have a good 3 pt shooter with Shane Battier. If we bench Battier in favor of Mike Miller our defense is going to suffer more than our offense is going to improve.

pass... no defense.... there's a reason the seemingly good trio of Him + Gay + gasol... had a ****ty ****ty record...

Yes he would be a great fit. But it only sounds like a dream, but I hope we atleast try to make some sore of trade before Feb.21.

Oh hell naw I don't think we should bench Battier for him. I think he would make a great 6th man.

I agree. We need a solid PG. Even Andre Miller would suffice when compared to Rafer

Mike M is exactly what the Rockets need. Didn't everyone notice that the Roxs pulled aways after nailing 3 after 3, opening up the middle for Yao and Co.

Speaking of Battier, according to Jonathen Feigen supposedly he and Miller are really tight. T-Mac is also pretty buddy-buddy with him.

good point. Seems like Mike Miller would be a great fit. But Battier still needs minutes because he plays D.

The Rockets have had a good run lately, but they should still look at trade options.

Only person i'd let take away Battier's minutes from a trade is Artest. Nobody else whose available comes to mind. Battier is too important.

Especially since TMac plays minimum defense nowadays and scola is our starter.

After seeing what Korver did for Utah, I'm all for Mike Miller in Houston. The only players I can't give up are Yao, T-Mac, Scola, Landry, Battier, and Brooks.

Snyder, Francis, Novak should get the job done if Memphis is serious about trimming payroll to build around Gay.

man, it would be cool if the rockets could trade bonzi, snyder and francis to the grizzlies for miller.

the rockets would get a really consistent 3rd offensive option who is also the shooter they desperately need. luther head would become expendable.

the grizzlies would get 3 expiring contracts. they could cut francis right away because he's out for the season anyways (steve could give it another try with us for the vet's minimum next season). bonzi could fill in for miller as their 2nd or 3rd option. they'd become worse but that's what they want to get another good draft pick. snyder would be a young and semi-talented throw in.

that trade would be a dream come true and make us an elite team.

yeah but perimter was a glaring weakness for Utah... is yeah Korver would be a good anitdote.

Shooting isnt really a major problem for us.... shane can hit tha open three and so can rafer. we just need a addition floor general to take tha burden off of TMac.

    btw:

stop pipe dreaming that a combo of snyder + head + novak or snyder + francis + novak would get this done. the trade has to involve bonzi for salary cap reasons. novak + head couldn't even get us the rookie contract of mike conley. and snyder + novak + francis is barely enough for brian cardinal.

speaking of cardinal, maybe the rockets could sweeten a deal if they'd take cardinal and give them mike james. cardinal is as useless for them as james is for us. they both earn the same money but james contract is one year shorter.

    actually, it is.

the rockets are in the bottom of the team rankings for fg %, 3p % and ft %.

that is because shane struggles, rafer isn't consistent, bonzi plays, james doesn't and luther head dropped off from last year.

a great shooter who is also a smart and consistent offensive player would do wonders for our team.
