    Mike James to the Rockets?

League sources tell ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Bucks will send guard Mike James to Houston later Thursday for a package including Reece Gaines and two future second-round picks.

The Rockets have coveted James all season for guard depth, and trading him would relieve Milwaukee of the $7.1 million left on James' contract after this season.

The Bucks have been trying to trade Keith Van Horn and James this week in hopes of creating more financial flexibility to re-sign Redd this offseason.

Milwaukee Bucks-Houston Rockets: The Bucks have agreed to a deadline-beating trade, but it doesn't involve Michael Redd.

Cleveland, according to league sources, is the Redd suitor feared most by Milwaukee, and the Cavaliers should have the salary-cap space in July to make the former Ohio State star a strong offer.

The NBA trade deadline is today at 3 p.m. ET.

    AWESOME!!!!!

Mike James looks like a good stopgap. He's 6'2'' and he shoots 38% from 3 point range.

If true, this is a great trade for us. Giving up only second rounders is fantastic.

Good move! Gains and 2nd rounders that we wouldn't use anyway? Seems like a bit of a steal, IMO.

I wonder if there might be another deal out there to get rid of Mo...

Dang! If we trade away our 2nd rounders, how are we gonna draft any foreign players that will never suit up for us?

    Nice.

This move could of been made even if Sura wasn't injured.

    Nice!!!

Makes up for Charlie Ward somewhat, even though we could have signed James as a FA. ;)

    Oh well, second rounders.

Man...it would cap the day off if Shareef gets dealt for Van Horn which would pave the way for Mo to be traded for Derek Anderson.

Nice going Charvo. James would be a good stop-gap backup PG.
Gaines + 2 second picks for him is just fine with me.
I hope this goes through before the deadline.

Sweet. I wonder whether we will still try to pursue Daniels this summer? I'd guess not.

i like this better than the scenario of getting GP for the TE and a first. Hope it's true.
