This night ( Rockets-Wolves) was his chance to redeem himself but he still sucked. Horrible shot selection, 2 out of 10 FG. I'm disappointed badly. Everytime he enters the court, he looks embarrassed, as if he is getting garbage minutes.
Problem with James is that he dribbled the ball but couldn't get open even to pass the ball off to a teammate. Then when he was in trouble with the shot clock winding down, the only thing he can do is jack a shot up. He made one good shot on a back door cut. But everything else was bleeeaaaahhh!!
I must admit he played horrible, not within the system at all. He would have been great in JVG's offense, but in RA's he sucks.
Oh what hell, I'm in. I was honestly rooting for him to come out of his shooting slump when he checked in the game. I was happy when he made that 3 pointer and thought that this might be a chance for him to earn some rotation minutes back but alas, he is still terrible and the ball movement dies in his hands far too often. I was surprised when I looked at the boxscore and noticed he had somehow managed to squeeze off 10 shots. Chucker
I wish somebody will inquire or wants a trade with Mike James involve and Snyder. Just an over paid over rated player!
Wholeheartedly agree, but he has to make shots to be successful in any system (especially JVG's), and he can't do that right now. His second shot tonight was so ugly... I don't know what happened to his shot. He was great in the first two games and dropped like a rock after that.
A part of me wants to think its because he hasn't gotten regular minutes lately and his rhythms a bit off, but he just looks out of place out there. I'll give it to him though that he wasn't ball hogging like he used to and seemed to atleast TRY to find his teammates. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt.
True that. It looks like he doesn't like to be out there during the garbage time or should it be called, "show me you can play time".
He just plain got trapped out there several times. He couldn't even make the play to the cutters and I could see he was trying to get free to make the pass. Like you said, he plain looks lost out there but not because he doens't know the offense but because he can't handle the rock good enough to make the play and he's not athletic or quick enough to beat his defender off the dribble.
Where is MJ's swagger and fire we've seen couple season ago? All gone out window along with his pride as a professional ball player. The moment he focuses more on his financial future/investment than basketball was when I stopped being MJ fan. Hate to say it but what a disappointment.
i never understood why people were so high on this guy. I was fully for trading him for Rafer a few years back. Then he had some good numbers with Toronto - but man, it was toronto! Maybe his time in Minnie did some damage to him from which he never recovered from. Maybe he just wasn't every that good. He's atheltic and quick, but far too wild and inconsistent to ever be of value. I'm not surprised he's buried on the bench, the guy is in his 30's and this has been what his NBA career has been like the past few years. There's no point in trading him either because I doubt anyone would want him.
Mike James and Bonzi Wells are jacking up shots as if they're playing for big contracts. At least Wells attacks the basket a lot more than James. I feel better when Rafer shoots instead of those two.
Dear Mike James, If you want to revive your career . . . go watch tape of DALE ELLIS Come off the Screen BOOM SHOT When you can hit that shot consistantly. . you will see the court again Rocket River until then . . .you are embarrassing yourself
