Now that James have just signed with Minesota, the best think that the Rockets can do in give an opportunuty to this Greek PG, he have the dynamic that we need and he have a winner mentality.

I think he is better than any FA left in the market, so he is our bet option.

    What do you thinks guys?

I think I'll donate $100 to the tip jar if we use a full MLE on a rookie when our coach won't play them. IOW, it ain't happening.

Yeah sign him for a rookie contract and use MLE on a proven player that can help Rox instantly.

We don't need to use the full MLE, we can use part of the MLE on VSpan, and the remainder to sign other free agents like Trevor Ariza....

Anyone know what the status on VSpan is now?

I doubt it, he's not even playing in the summer league to show his skills. I think the Rockets will wait for his contract to be over to bring to the rockets.

    And that would be....who?

Actually I agree with you somewhat but Vspan makes good money in Europe and he's not coming for chump change. If we ever want to get him over here we are going to at least need to use a big chuck of the MLE.

I think his contract buyout is $100,000 more than the NBA allowable, so he would have to pay that himself (anybody can feel free to correct that)

I think the answer would be no for most of the fans here.

Not a chance! I think the rockets will make a run at Bonzi and if not then they will split between ariza and any one else!

Looks like VSpan could be on his way. I like the move but it does not cover the WIN NOW approach that management supposedly adopted.

You guys need to get this rookie V-span out of your brains BECAUSE HE'S NOT COMING. We need to now go hard after Marcus Banks or Fred Jones because they are the best remaining baCkcourt players left in my opinion. Get it done CD. Go Rockets!!!

I just told you. Because he has contractual oblgations to Panathanaikos, it will take the whole MLE to bring him over.

What? Last I heard he was making like Euro 600K + bennies which was equal to about USD 1.5M NBA contract.

Bonzi will be more harder to get than James. And James was right in the Rockets lap. You know CD can't get free agents unless they fall right in his hands. Next on CD list "Leftovers"

V Span should be a last resort if nobody is willing to come to Houston and only if he is willing and ready to play in the NBA right now.The last thing we need is a Vasquez like situation.
CD doesn't have anyone lined up that's why his only option right now is V Span.
I hope Doc Rocket or anyone else will bring better news for us.
