Can't stand Mike James. The guy thinks he's a Mr. Clutch. Too shot happy for my taste, does not do enough other things well to be given a bug contract.

But how do YOU think about him? I mean, how does Chris Bosh think about him? I heard YOU want him to stay. ;)

I thought that James was supposed to just want to be treated fairly, find someplace he can stay, etc. etc.

3 years is very dangerous for the likes of Juwon Howard or Penny Hardaway.

He's putting money where is his mouth is.

If the contract ends when he's 33, then he's as good as he says if he gets a better one.

he's mostly dumb for that because...yes, he may think he'll keep getting better. shoot, he may even actually do it. But to think that at 33 or 34, a team is gonna pay him as much (or maybe he thinks more) money on another 3 year deal is ridiculous. Guys just aren't willing to dish out that much money for 3 years at that age...especially for a non-All Star (or if he has it the way he thinks...then a fringe All Star)

It's optimizing your pay at the expense of your team. I wasn't a Mike James hater, but that has quickly changed the past couple weeks.

I understand someone wanting more money. But when your team is having a 20-win season and the only thing you ever talk about is yourself and your "deserved" payday, that's crap to me.

Then you come out talking like your the real MJ. Nah, I won't sign long-term deals, I'll just ask for more money. Who the hell does this guy think he is?
He'll probably get a nice little deal, but I bet he raised a bunch of red flags with teams.

His agent really needs to shut him up. All of his rants are doing no good.

Someone gets hated for being honest. How a 33-34 year old opt out of contract will "at the expense of your team", I don't really know.

I respect and appreciate his confidence that he will deserve more down the road. That being said: leave it in the negotiating room, please. Do your "talking" on the floor during the game.

27-43 record and all you do is b%$&ch about how much money you make and how much you should make. I would be extremely pissed if I were his coach or teamate. He obviously doesn't give a darn about winning.

I believe he had one of his famous rants after a 5-25 fg performance in a loss.

Maybe it's wise for him to leave the talking to his agent. However, if you think this can piss his coach or player, there isn't many evidence. Maybe he was asked a question about his upcoming contract? I know his previous ranting was a result of questioning. Honestly, he want to opt out after his next contract, he might be confident, he might be dumb, but what's the big deal.

you think they don't also care how much they make? it's a business, they understand.

stupid comment. i can see why you've suddenly started hating him in the last few weeks.
