are they planning to do all the 15 interviews in one week? Will we have a second round for those who have passed the round robin stage?
He also failed in his first stint. The only reason he succeeded in Phoenix was due to Nash being the perfect PG for his system. I better not hear that Les is going to step in and go with this guy because he always wanted them to be Phoenix-like. I'm sure D'Antoni is also taking credit for the Warriors excellence....
give up on our pathetic boys and girls league level defense and amp up our one man show offense. harden avg 40 a game. not bad. with dwight's athletic abilities declining, lets see if we can turn him into a 3pt shooting big
No, it will take long. My best guess is it will down with Frank Vogel if he's release from the Pacers or one surprising candidate.
Honestly it is simple, because this is what the Rockets have done in the past under Alexander. Morey and his staff have been told to reach out to a wide group of potential candidates with diverse background. Morey and Alexander will then meet with/speak with the candidates. Some will be asked to come for a second interview (others will not). It is likely that once they are down to 2-3 candidates there will be a third private meeting. Alexander will then let Morey know who he wants based on the interviews and all the information presented to him. Almost anyone with any pedigree/success will be considered. Also do not rule out Alexander getting smitten with someone that is not a favorite or well know. That is how Daryl Morey was choosen, McHale and actually why Mario Elie was traded for. Alexander is definitive and no one will make the ultimate decision but him.
According to all here that's what he was trying to address all along and offense was never the problem. The rockets FO isn't stupid, they are just ignorant and more concerned with running flashy, upbeat regular season games to sell tickets.
thanx for the info. So Alexander is planning to sit and watch 100+ hours of interviews. How long do you think it will take? One month enough?
100% for this. If Dwight resigns, force his ass to do PnR. PnR ages much better than his current game. PnR is also something Harden is supposed to be good at, when hes not throwing it at feet or in traffic, so yeah maximize that too. He can run an offense, but defense is suspect. We need defense like crazy, so we gotta get a defensive assistant to pair with him. And dont tell me the offense is fine right now lol D'antoni 7 seconds or less. The offense blows chunks in the end of the 3rd when it becomes 23 seconds or more.
Would like to see D'antoni as an assistant to either JVG or Vogal. Don't want him running things though!
