Personally these are my favorite two point guards since they entered the league. I have always loved Bibby since his days at Zona in 97 and 98. Andre Miller I watched alot at Utah, especially when his Utah Utes beat Mike Bibby's Zona Wildcats in the 1998 NCAA Elite Eight. I would like to see a little more of Miller next season since I only seen like 4-5 games of his this season.....Parker is another pg I like alot..... Anyway.....who do you think is the better point guard and why? MICHAEL BIBBY or ANDRE MILLER?
perhaps we'll never know until miller gets the heck outta cleveland... remember that bibby wasn't considered an NBA superstar until he got playing time with a successful team like the Kings (not to mention TONS of TV exposure and a breakout postseason)... who knows what Miller could do on a team of finishers that could do productive things with his wicked dishing skills... rather than stuck with dudes like ilgauskaus (sp?), diop, and (sniff) Mihm...
ha ha, this subject is posted word for word by the same dude in the Lakers BBS... ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!! i wonder if its on every BBS for every NBA team in the league... maybe this guy works for a survey company or something!!!!
The rumors about miller heading to utah, i don't think thats too far off base. I don't think Utah will give him anymore satisfaction, but a team that always comes up is the clipps. They probably could offer up Odom or Miles plus Maggette for Miller and Mihm and get it done. That way both teams are happy.La gets the local kid and consumate pg and Cleveland gets a 3 with promise and another athelete. The clipps could also let Kandi walk or opt to resign Brand and Miller and have a very solid base for yrs. Miller Q Miles/Odom Brand Whoever That would be a pretty good lineup. Odom in Cleveland would allow Cleveland to play another 2 sg's in the backcourt along with the playmaker Odom. For the Rockets sake this trade isn't made.
HILARIOUS . Maybe your right I am taking a survey for a company . Or maybe I just use multiple boards and when I think of a thread I like, I post it in different message boards to see what different fans think.......I dont really find that funny.
Bibby's got to prove that he can do what he did in the playoffs during the regular season for me to place him ahead of Miller. What Miller got out of those players in Cleveland is amazing and solidly places him amongst the top PGs in the league. Bibby's good, but not that good - yet. Just hope he doesn't suffer from Croshere disease and disappear next year....he's got infinitely more talent that Austin does, but I'd like to see him keep up this play for 100 games a year, not 18.
It's a lot easier to be a good player on a bad team then a good playe ron a good team. Bibby gets the edge here just because he proved he can help a team win. Miller may be a better player but right now Bibby is more proven so I'd take him.
I say Miller, then again, I'd probably take Miller over every point guard except Payton and Kidd......would say Stock[favorite of all time], but he's 40. Leading the league in assists while putting up an assist/TO ratio of 3.5:1 with the Cavs can't be the easiest thing.
people people people. don't you know how these threads work. first, you choose whichever player has been on the better run lately as the better player overall no matter what. and then, according to the unbreakable rules of the clutchcity.net bbs you must do one of two things: a. propose that we trade steve francis to get that player or b. tell steve to watch videotape of that guy to learn how to play basketball the right way now, for the real topic, i guess i would have to pick miller. he led the league in assists and is a smart player and had triple double potential every night. just because bibby was successful in the playoffs doesn't mean anything over miller. miller has crap on his team and had no chance to make the playoffs. when bibby had crap on his team (grizzlies) they didn't go anywhere either. and bibby certainly isn't what makes the kings go. they won 56 games before he got there. he's like BASF, he didn't make the team, he just made the team better. miller would've done the same thing to that team. however, in terms of playing the lakers, i think bibby the way he was playing was far more valuable simply because he could shoot and make it and was amazingly effective at coming off picks from big men and hitting the open shots when laker big men didn't rotate. i don't think miller could've done that. however, that's just one opponent so i still give miller the edge overall even though i like bibby's game a lot. also, i still take steve over both of them.
Good for you. I am happy I am humored you. Now if you dont have anything to say about the thread dont waste your time posting about my posting habits
Whew! I thought this was one of those trade Steve Francis for ____________ threads. (Place any point guard's name in the blank).
I love pure points, and I like Miller, but Bibby's shot is a lot better. But, as was said, Miller has never been on a decent team. Very tough call...
i must have missed that season, what has he gotten out of those players. he's an all-star calibur point but i wouldn't say "leading" his team to 20 wins as an accomplishment. his two primary scoring threats(person, murray) have been very consistent jump-shooters since way before him, i don't think he's proved much at all.
He assisted in getting the most out of Jumaine Jones. Lamond Murray and Wesley Person have not been nearly as good as they were this year in several years; they may have been good jump shooters, but if you aren't getting the ball in a spot to put up the shot, you are going to miss a lot more than you make. Cleveland had almost no talent this year, sans Miller, and with many other PGs they win even fewer games.
