I was really craving something sweet, so I just drove half a mile to the nearest grocery store and bought a big thing of Mike and Ikes and some Dots. Am I crazy to go to a supermarket in my pajamas to buy these things at midnight, or has anyone else ever done that?
If you live in the med center you know allllllllll about midnight runs to krogers for a pint of icecream or bag of potato chips...
Which Kroger? That one on OST or the one on Kirby? I used to do my weekly grocery shopping at 2am at the one on OST back when I was at Rice.
i went to the grocery store at about 1230 last night graving some guacamole and chips and ended up buying the absolute WORST guacamole I've ever had in my life. ugh. one of the worst feelings ever is thinking you are about to satisfy a craving and then be disappointed.
I always go to grocery store after midnight, no lines, no bump into other people. Just me and my food.
That never seems to work for me.. at night there is usually only one checker working, and god forbid there are no "self checkout" lanes.. otherwise you are totally screwed.. I always manage to get behind the lady who had like 3 carts full of junk because she is a shut-in who only goes grocery shopping twice a year.
I always get sugar-free jello for midnight snacks. Satisfies the sweet tooth a bit w/o doing any damage.
I crave fresh fruit at night so I'm always going to the grocery store. It works out well because I always need something else too.
And wants to talk incessantly to the cashier because it's the first human being she's talked to in six months.... I got stuck behind a lady like that at Randalls a couple Saturdays ago, 15 minutes before the Texas-OU game was going to kickoff. I was ready to kill.
