The way the roster is contructed as of now, the Rockets have some pretty average set of point guards. Each have their distinct positives and negatives, but none are players the team can be sure will anchor the position now and into the future. So, with an abundance of point-guards and power forwards, there seems to be a pretty good chance the team will try to acquire a better option mid-season.

My question is, who would you like or think they should get?

    GARY PAYTON - BOS
Not a fan favorite in Houston, but still a playoff-experienced player who could make a difference (barring his attitude and motivation are in check) if the Rockets look to be in a position to make a legit run for the championship this season. On the last year of his contract.

    JAMAAL TINSLEY - IND
Not an incredibly gifted player, but is tough and has showed promise to be able to run a good team. The Pacers have not liked his inconsistency but, at only 26, could become a very nice player if playing in the right system or on the right team. Could be a nice option to play for years, and grow, with Yao and TMac.

    JEFF MCINNIS - CLE
A veteran who proved, last year with Cleveland, that he could successfully run a team. Doesn't do anything exceptionally well but is still a nice all-around player.

    DAMON STOUDEMIRE - POR
Not a pure point guard as he looks to score alot. Still quick but has shown that he may not be a good option to play a half court game.

    NICK VAN EXEL - POR
Another player who looks to shoot first. Played probably his best ball as a scoring spark off the bench when with Dallas. Another decent option if the Rockets feel he could help propel them to a championship if they find themselves in a position to make such a move this season.

    ANTONIO DANIELS - SEA
Was rumored to be considered by the Rockets via trade this offseason. An athletic point guard who has shown he can play in both a half court system (Spurs) and a run-and-gun system (Sonics).

    MARKO JARIC - LAC
Another tall Euro-player who can hit the outside jumper. Can play both guard positions, as well as, small forward but has run the oint for the Clippers. He is another player who is a decent option, with his age, to play the position for years to come.

    So, who you guys like?
